As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:
1. Leading the hotel's financial strategy and operational performance
2. Overseeing all financial reporting processes and ensuring accuracy and timeliness
3. Establishing and optimising internal controls to safeguard the hotel's assets
4. Managing and developing the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
5. Reviewing and approving capital expenditure proposals in line with the hotel's strategic objectives
6. Developing and maintaining productive relationships with third parties in the region, including banks, auditors, and tax authorities
7. Collaborating closely with the Hotel General Manager and cross-functional Executive Team to drive overall hotel performance
8. Liaising with the Corporate Office to ensure alignment with group-wide financial policies and objectives
9. Preparing and presenting financial reports and analyses to senior management and stakeholders
10. Overseeing the annual budgeting process and regular forecasting exercises
11. Implementing and maintaining robust cost control measures across all departments
12. Ensuring compliance with local and international financial regulations and accounting standards
13. Managing cash flow and working capital to optimise the hotel's financial position
14. Overseeing the payroll process and ensuring accurate and timely payment of staff
15. Identifying opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost savings across the hotel operations
This role will be pivotal in establishing and driving the financial performance of the hotel, requiring a strategic mindset and strong leadership skills.
