This role is for an All-round Financial Employee at SOCOTEC Geotechnics, an engineering firm specializing in Geo- and environmental technology. Good To Have:
  • A few years of experience is a plus, not a must.
  • Experience with AFAS Profit is a plus.
Must Have:
  • A completed MBO education in a financial direction or equivalent, preferably accounting.
  • Good command of MS Office, with emphasis on Excel.
  • Pragmatic numerical insight, accurate and organized.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, independent, flexible and reliable.
  • Enthusiastic and results-oriented.
  • Proficiency in the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
  • Processing and managing bank mutations.
  • Managing accounts receivable and payable administration.
  • Analyzing margins, processing purchase invoices and controlling invoicing processes.
  • Preparing month-end and year-end closings and drawing up reports.
  • Optimizing internal financial processes based on data analysis.

About SOCOTEC Geotechnics

SOCOTEC Geotechnics is an engineering firm specializing in Geo- and environmental technology. We conduct research for a wide range of constructions, such as building foundations, wind turbines, construction pits, infrastructure, water defenses, dewatering, etc. We have the necessary research capacity to carry out large and complex projects, including our own geotechnical laboratory. We are also specialized in (complex) geomonitoring. Currently, about 150 professionals work at SOCOTEC Geotechnics, spread across branches in Son, Rotterdam, Waddinxveen, Enter, and Hoofddorp.

Job Description

As an All-round Financial Employee, your task is to perform supporting activities in the field of financial administration. In addition, you will contribute to optimizing administrative processes and monitor progress for accuracy and completeness.

You work in an informal working environment and are given a lot of room for your own initiative.

This is what you will do:

  • Processing and managing bank mutations;
  • Managing accounts receivable and payable administration;
  • Analyzing margins, processing purchase invoices and controlling invoicing processes;
  • Preparing month-end and year-end closings and drawing up reports;
  • Optimizing internal financial processes based on data analysis;

Job Requirements

Your profile:

  • A completed MBO education in a financial direction or equivalent, preferably accounting. A few years of experience is a plus, not a must;
  • Good command of MS Office, with emphasis on Excel;
