Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a BIM Lead - Electrical to join their team in Dubai. This full-time, on-site role involves leading, planning, and developing BIM execution for electrical systems, ensuring compliance with standards and coordinating across disciplines. The successful candidate will manage model and drawing production, adopt advanced BIM modelling solutions, apply digital delivery workflows, and develop digital skills using programming languages. The role also includes ensuring compliance with electrical codes, collaborating with other disciplines, implementing quality control, and providing technical expertise in electrical systems design.
Must Have
- Lead, plan, and develop discipline BIM execution for electrical systems.
- Manage BIM Model and Drawing co-ordination within engineering and cross-discipline.
- Guide and manage junior staff.
- Adopt advanced BIM modelling solutions, including computational engineering for electrical systems in Revit.
- Apply digital delivery workflows through system optimisation and advanced simulations.
- Develop digital skills using programming languages for design automation and data analysis.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Collaborate with architects and structural engineers to resolve design conflicts.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes for electrical BIM models.
- Develop and maintain electrical content libraries, families, and templates.
- Provide technical expertise in electrical systems design and modelling.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations.
- Stay abreast of latest BIM technologies and electrical engineering advancements.

Job Description
- Leads, plans, and develops the discipline BIM execution including Model and Drawing production (in accordance with BIM Execution Plan & BIM standards compliance, completeness & accuracy)
- Manages BIM Model and Drawing co-ordination (within Engineering & Cross Discipline). Guides and manages junior staff, fostering their professional development.
- Adopts advanced BIM modelling solutions, including computational engineering for sizing electrical systems in the Revit environment.
- Applies digital delivery workflows through system optimisation, advanced simulations strategies, and multidisciplinary coordination through adoption of Revit tools/Revizto in ACC and BIM 360 environment.
- Develops Digital skills through adoption of Programming languages in enhancing design automation, data analysis and system integration.
- Ensures compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations throughout the BIM process.
- Collaborates with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to resolve design conflicts and optimise electrical systems integration.
- Implements and maintains quality control processes for electrical BIM models, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all project phases.
- Develops and maintains electrical content libraries, families, and templates to improve efficiency and standardisation across projects.
- Provides technical expertise in electrical systems design and modelling, including power distribution, lighting, and low voltage systems.
- Participates in client meetings and presentations to communicate BIM strategies and showcase electrical design solutions.
- Stays abreast of the latest BIM technologies and electrical engineering advancements, implementing innovative solutions to improve project outcomes.
