The Travel Retail Controller at MAKE UP FOR EVER, an LVMH brand, is crucial for aligning financial objectives of the TR APAC market with the global business strategy. This role involves planning, monitoring, reporting, and analyzing TR APAC business performance, including monthly management reporting, budgets, and ad-hoc financial analysis. The incumbent will constantly review and improve management reporting, develop relationships across the organization, and provide insightful analysis. They will ensure consistent financial processes, make recommendations, and challenge key business decisions to optimize costs and efficiency.
Must Have
- Secure market target achievement and implement corrective plans.
- Ensure LVMH accounting standards and internal control compliance.
- Lead TR APAC business performance planning, monitoring, and analysis.
- Organize and develop controlling processes (PO’s, SOP, SAP).
- Collaborate with commercial and customer service teams.
- Ensure gross margin % achievement and monitor retailer order mix.
- Lead and manage the TR APAC budget process.
- Maintain cost control and provide action plans.
- Review accounting accruals for accurate P&L.
- Analyze financial targets, customer profitability, and business risk.
- Strong analytical thinking, business mind-set, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Reporting/Consolidation tools, and SAP ERP.
- Finance/Controlling degree.
- Minimum 10 years of controlling experience with accounting knowledge.

The Travel Retail Controller plays a key role in ensuring alignment between financial objectives of the TR APAC market and overall WW business strategy.
The incumbent will be responsible for the planning, monitoring, reporting and analysis of the TR APAC business performance, through supporting of all financial aspects including monthly management reporting, budgets, and all ad-hoc finance analysis. He/she constantly reviews and improves the level of management reporting by developing relationships with members of the organization and creating clear and insightful analysis.
He/she ensures best practice and consistent financial processes across - making recommendations and implementing as appropriate. The TR Controller takes part and challenges key business decisions using relevant reporting and analysis and presenting data in a commercial way in order to optimize costs and efficiency of activities.
Job Description
Business Analysis Brand & Processes
- Secure the achievement of targets assigned to the market and work on corrective plans to protect them
- Ensure that LVMH accounting standards & internal control guidelines are respected
- Lead planning, monitoring, reporting & analysis of the TR APAC business performance,
- Organize continuity of controlling processes (PO’s, SOP, SAP etc)
- Develop Controlling processes and ensure their application within the TR APAC team
- Work closely with Commercial Executive & Customer service team to maximise efficiency, service to clients & to optimize communication and reporting.
- Ensure Gross margin % achievement vs target by being proactive on retailer order mix and launches weight vs existing catalogue
- Prepare and monitor the SISO (sell-in / sell-out) analysis by operator and alert if any major deviance
Budget
- Lead Budget process within TR APAC in accordance with HQ requirement and timetable
- Maintain cost control responsibility. Provide relevant reports and rationale, with recommended action plans to the business for tight budget control
- Preparation of the consolidated package reporting
Actual Closing
- Work closely with Regional, local and HQ team and develop excellent knowledge of the business units' operating environments
- Review with accounting accruals / booking to deliver accurate P&L
- Analyze the overall delivery of the financial targets on a regular basis and report back to the
- business with recommendations as necessary
- Analysis of profitability by customer in accordance with Brand management needs
- Involvement in the auditing process
- Analysis of business risk and preparation of back-up plan for business target achievement.
- Monthly check and analysis of P&Ls

Profile:
- Finance / Controlling degree university / Business school
- Successful experience in a financial position within an international group
- A minimum of 10 years of controlling experience, with knowledge of accounting
- Experience in the beauty industry and/or in a regional position would be a +
