Job Summary

As a CAD Engineer in Apple's best-in-class CAD Group, you will contribute to building state-of-the-art designs. This role involves defining, developing, and refining methodologies and flows using your hands-on experience in custom simulation and/or power EM/IR analysis. You will support transistor-level simulation solutions, enhance existing flows, and collaborate with various design groups to meet circuit verification requirements across different processes, partnering with design, CAD, and EDA teams to deliver advanced solutions.

Must Have

  • Experience with custom design environment and transistor level circuit simulation
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Perl, C/C++
  • Minimum requirement of BS + 3 years of relevant industry experience

Good to Have

  • Hands-on experience developing transistor level simulation flows and automations for improved accuracy and higher performance
  • Knowledge in EM/IR analysis tools, including their working principles and methods
  • Familiarity with custom design environment and flows, including schematic/layout design, simulation, extraction, and physical verification
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to root-cause technical challenges and communicate solutions for methodology advancement
  • Ability to coordinate and drive initiatives together with senior team members

In this highly visible role, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting transistor level simulation solutions that scale with accuracy and capacity challenges
  • Supporting and enhancing the custom transistor level simulation flows and/or EM/IR flows
  • Collaborating with various design groups (Physical-design and integration, Circuit-design / Power / Technology) to address their circuit verification requirements across different processes
  • Partnering with design, CAD and EDA teams to identify flow deficiencies and deliver state of art solutions

Key Qualifications

  • Experience with custom design environment and transistor level circuit simulation
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Perl, C/C++
  • Minimum requirement of BS + 3 years of relevant industry experience
