Job Description

The Category Manager will lead category strategy, supplier management, and sourcing operations to ensure optimal product assortment, competitive pricing, and efficient procurement for a quick commerce business. This role focuses on driving sales growth, improving margins, and delivering high-quality goods that meet customer needs while ensuring operational excellence.

  • Build and maintain a strong supplier network to negotiate cost improvements, advertising spend, and reliable delivery schedules.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key suppliers to strengthen partnerships and drive performance improvements.
  • Partner with supply chain teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.
  • Minimize wastage and shrinkage while ensuring consistent stock availability across dark stores.
  • Work closely with Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Product teams to deliver strategic projects that align with business objectives.

What you will do

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in category management or sourcing within e-commerce, FMCG, or retail industries.
  • Proven track record in supplier negotiations and relationship management.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in leveraging data for decision-making.
  • Knowledge of quick commerce operations is highly desirable.
