The Cinematic Artist / Animator will be responsible for bringing written cutscenes to life using UE4. This involves utilizing written scripts, voice actor performances, and game assets to construct cutscenes within UE4's sequencer. The role requires close collaboration with designers and writers to ensure alignment between cutscenes and narrative/visual needs. The animator will also work with artists to utilize and modify existing assets, and improve existing cutscenes to meet shipping quality standards. Strong understanding of cinematic storytelling, composition, shot direction, and pacing is essential for this role.
Good To Have:- Ability to mix in-game animation with bespoke cinematic animation
- Experience across multiple 3D techniques (animation, FX, modeling, lighting, rendering)
- Ability to take ownership of a task and see it through completion without direction.
Must Have:- Experience with UE4's sequencer and camera tools
- Ability to bring cutscenes to shipping quality
- Solid understanding of cinematic storytelling, composition, shot direction, and pacing.
