Job Description

The Citrix Engineer III will be responsible for building, implementing, and managing Citrix products and solutions for Rackspace Hosted and Remotely Managed environments. This role involves handling L3 escalations, providing architectural recommendations for application virtualization and VDI, and troubleshooting technical issues across various Citrix components and related Microsoft technologies. Key responsibilities include design expertise in XenApp/XenDesktop, Windows platforms, Active Directory, and Azure monitoring, ensuring robust and efficient cloud infrastructure services.

Must Have:

Build, implement, and manage products/solutions for Rackspace Hosted and Remotely Managed Citrix environments.
Manage L3 escalations for all Citrix related products.
Provide recommendations for architecture design and strategic initiatives that require application virtualization and/or virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
Responsible for identifying and solving technical issues related to the Citrix solution.
Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis of production support related issues.
Highly proficient with XenApp and XenDesktop 7.15 LTSR and previous versions.
Design and architecture expertise in XenApp, XenDesktop, Citrix Storefront, Citrix Desktop Delivery Controller, Citrix Provisioning Services, Citrix UPM, Citrix Director.
Windows 10 expertise and WVD user support exposure/experience.
Expertise on Microsoft Windows platforms, Active Directory, DNS and GPO, FSlogix, Gold image management (app publishing/patching).
Knowledge of Azure Monitor (OMS/log analytics).
Strong knowledge of Citrix ADC/Netscaler Secure Gateway.
Work with product management to design/deploy complex custom Citrix applications, XenApp and XenDesktop.
Coordinate with other Operations/App. Services team members regarding deployment and ongoing maintenance of new systems and solutions.
Perform various administrative duties and maintenance functions as required.
Have a good background and work on technologies other than Citrix like Windows Server (2012 through 2019), Microsoft Exchange and O365.
