Apple Ads is seeking a Client Insights Specialist for its App Store ads business. This role involves evaluating, sourcing, refining, and presenting powerful insights to help advertising customers maximize their investment in Apple Ads. The specialist will utilize data-driven and sophisticated analytical approaches with internal and external data sets to identify key opportunities, such as improving advertiser understanding of marketplace dynamics, assisting in advertiser experimentation design, conducting client pilots for new insights, and analyzing unique client-specific opportunities. The individual will identify the right metrics and collaborate with the external-facing sales team to articulate strong narratives to customers, requiring strong analytical skills, storytelling prowess, and cross-functional experience. Responsibilities include highlighting impactful insights, piloting new insights, using advanced data analytics and statistical methodologies, developing positioning and pitch frameworks for various customer personas, measuring and tracking the impact of client interactions and insights, and ensuring adherence to Apple Ads' privacy principles. Travel is expected between 10-30%.
Must have:
  • 3+ years as consultant, data scientist, or business analytics/intelligence professional
  • 1+ years of data wrangling with Python/Pandas
  • 1+ years of SQL for data manipulation
  • Experience with in-person client interactions with senior executives
  • Strong communication skills for distilling complex data into actionable insights
  • Deep knowledge of sophisticated analytical techniques and statistical methods
  • Passion for BI and analytics with business understanding
Good to have:
  • 2+ years in the digital advertising industry
  • Experience with media mix modeling
  • Experience with Ads Measurement, Attribution, and incrementality testing
  • Search engine marketing expertise
  • App-install marketing experience
  • Channel partner experience (agencies, mobile measurement)
  • Understanding of digital advertising landscape and critical metrics

The Advertising Platform's Data Insights team is seeking a Client Insights Specialist for our App Store ads business! You'll join a new team that evaluates, sources, refines, and presents powerful insights to help our advertising customers get the most value out of their investment in Apple Ads. This team’s data-driven and sophisticated analytical approaches use internal and external data sets to identify key opportunities (e.g., improving advertiser understanding of marketplace dynamics; assisting in design and execution of advertiser experimentation; conducting client pilots for new insights; analyzing unique, client-specific opportunities). In this role, you will identify the right metrics and work with our external-facing sales team to articulate strong narratives to our customers. As such, this individual needs the right analytical skill, storytelling prowess, and cross-functional experience. This individual will: - Highlight themes of insights which will have the most impact and pilot new insights - Use sophisticated data analytics and statistical methodologies to extract impactful insights, piloting new metrics across a breadth of strategic clients with the goal of furthering their business goals - Develop the appropriate positioning and pitch framework to share key findings with various senior marketing, user acquisition, data science and C-suite customer personas, sometimes challenging preconceived notions about app advertising - Measure and track the impact of client interactions and classes of insights on advertiser performance and spend - Ensure that proposed datasets and insights honor Apple Adsʼ privacy principles - Travel 10-30% of the time (varies by quarter)
  • 3+ years of experience as a consultant, data scientist or business analytics/intelligence professional
  • 1+ years of work experience with data wrangling skills with Python/Pandas
  • 1+ years of work experience with SQL for pulling and manipulating data
  • Experience with in-person client interactions, specifically senior executives, and knowledge to also work with business intelligence (BI) and data science experts
  • Strong communication skills and ability to distill information from large data sets and results into simple concepts and actionable insights for a variety of audiences
  • Deep knowledge of sophisticated analytical techniques and statistical methods
  • A strong passion for BI and analytics with the ability to work closely with business teams, understand business requirements, and handle sophisticated projects related to data-driven initiatives
  • Experience being part of a team with a revenue growth directive5+ years of experience as a consultant, data scientist or business analytics/intelligence professional
  • 2+ years of experience in the digital advertising industry
  • Experience with media mix modeling
  • Experience with Ads Measurement, Attribution and incrementality testing
  • Search engine marketing expertise, app-install marketing, and channel partners (e.g., agencies, mobile measurement)
  • Extraordinary understanding of digital advertising landscape and critical metrics for web / mobile / apps
