Job Description

Join Apple's Sensing and Connectivity team as a Headphones and Accessories Tools & Automation Engineer. You will design, implement, test, and maintain next-generation audio and connectivity solutions, creating world-changing experiences for Apple products. Responsibilities include building creative testing solutions, driving quality, designing comprehensive test plans, developing Python automation scripts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement automation features.   • 1-2 years experience working in similar field

The Headphones and Accessories Quality Engineering team is looking for a motivated Tools & Automation Engineer to design, implement, test and maintain next generation audio and connectivity solutions. You're creating and delivering world changing experiences on the very latest Apple products.

  • Build creative solutions for testing current and next generation products.
  • Drive quality and champion bug fixes, working closely with dev team and analyze the root causes for the issues.
  • Design comprehensive test plans for new features, factoring in technical details and the customer experience.
  • Develop test automation scripts using Python, maintain reports of all automation issues and test results.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to get requirements and implement automation feature requests.
  • Bring up, perform regular maintenance and debugging of test setups and scripts.
  • B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering or AI/ML.
  • Expertise in audio testing, software testing, isolating issues, devising test plans, aiming to specification.
  • You're proficient in a coding language (Python, Java, Objective C, C++, etc).
  • You have 1-2 years experience working in similar field.
  • You're experienced deploying testing at scale.
  • You have a foundational understanding of electronics and wireless technologies.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $115,700 and $203,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You’ll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition.
