Job Description

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Cloud Sales Engineer for Video Security & Access Control in the Northeast region. This role is crucial to the sales process, working alongside the sales team to evangelize the technical aspects of Alta products. Responsibilities include presenting and demonstrating Alta's software-defined security platform, providing product training, articulating technology value, conducting demonstrations, and supporting RFP responses. The engineer will also build customer relationships, travel extensively for on-site support, and collaborate with customer success teams. This position requires 3+ years of experience in sales, engineering, video, or solutions architecture, with strong knowledge in networking, system design, and physical security technologies.
Good To Have:
  • Experience with Milestone, Genetec, Exacq, Avigilon, Axis, Hikvision, OpenPath, Feenics, Verkada, HID, Phoenix and other industry players
  • Knowledge and recent experience with programming and APIs
Must Have:
  • Presenting and demonstrating the value of Alta's software-defined security platform to partner principals and business leaders
  • Effectively disseminate product knowledge by providing thorough training to sales teams, manufacturing representatives, channel partners, and end-users
  • Articulate the technology and demonstrate differentiated value propositions to both business and technical prospects
  • Conduct compelling in-person and remote product demonstrations and lead technical discussions
  • Support sales team in responding to RFP’s by designing, specifying, and quoting systems
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners
  • Extensive travel (50-75%) to provide on-site support for sales, integration, troubleshooting, and training
  • Collaborate with the customer success and support teams in providing post-sales support to customers
  • Manage demo equipment assets
  • Closely support sales teams in achieving sales targets and strategic goals
  • Be proactive in the entire sales cycle, assisting in the identification of stakeholders; identifying potential risks in the engagement and proposing mitigating actions
  • 3+ years of experience in Sales, Engineering, Video or Solutions Architecture
  • Strong knowledge in networking and system design
  • Experience working with Physical Security VMS, DVR, NVR, Cameras, Encoders, POE, POS, Access Control and other industry specific technologies
  • Understanding of network and POE requirements for physical security

Our Pre-Sales Engineers are a critical part of our sales process, working side by side with a very professional sales team. Pre-Sales engineers evangelize the technical aspects of Alta products. This role encourages creativity, problem solving and outside of the box thinking while impacting the future roadmap of the Alta platform. You will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in one of the following: Sales, Engineering, Video or Solutions Architecture
  • Strong knowledge in networking and system design.
  • Experience working with Physical Security VMS, DVR, NVR, Cameras, Encoders, POE, POS, Access Control and other industry specific technologies
  • Experience with Milestone, Genetec, Exacq, Avigilon, Axis, Hikvision, OpenPath, Feenics, Verkada, HID, Phoenix and other industry players a plus
  • Understanding of network and POE requirements for physical security
  • Self-motivated and focused individual with a passion for technology and an aptitude for customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge and recent experience with programming and APIs is preferred
  • 50-75% travel by land and/or air within territory required.

Target Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000 USD

Consistent with values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
