This role involves leading, motivating, and developing the commercial team for the Financial and Telcos segment, setting clear and ambitious goals to achieve individual and collective targets. The VP will ensure disciplined execution aligned with growth objectives, transform the sales force to create value-based client interactions, and drive a culture of excellence and innovation by promoting disruptive solutions to strengthen Experian's strategic position.
Must have:
  • Design and execute the commercial strategy for the segment, focusing on new opportunities and revenue diversification.
  • Implement strategies aligned with regulatory, technological, and competitive trends in the financial and Telco sectors.
  • Strategically support the team to ensure pipeline tracking discipline, forecast vs. budget, and sales closures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key leaders in Financial entities and Telco companies.
  • Lead negotiations with clients, ensuring correct structuring for short-term revenue goals and long-term growth.
  • Lead the transformation of the sales force towards hybrid roles (Account Management + New Business), more specialized and consultative.
  • Ensure compliance with key area indicators (portfolio, visits, reports, account plans, consumption, renewals, prices, and profitability).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience leading high-performance commercial teams in financial, technological, or consulting sectors.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and transform teams.
  • Strong analytical and consulting skills.
  • Knowledge of credit risk cycle, SARLAFT, and software platforms for credit origination.
  • Intermediate English.

Job Description

Purpose of the Commercial VP Financial and Telcos Segment role:

Lead, motivate, and develop the commercial team for the Financial and Telcos segment, establishing clear and ambitious objectives to achieve individual and collective goals. Ensure disciplined execution, aligned with ambitious growth targets and the transformation of the sales force to create and maintain value-based interactions with clients, generated from a combination of knowledge of assigned clients' business, market, and products, structure and lead a transition to productivity metrics, strengthen strategic and technical sales, and focus on connecting capabilities to develop an integrated solutions offering. Drive a culture of excellence, innovation, and high performance, promoting the adoption of disruptive solutions that strengthen Experian's position as a strategic partner.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Design and execute the commercial strategy for the segment, focusing on new opportunities, revenue diversification, client deepening, and goal achievement.
  • Implement strategies aligned with regulatory, technological, and competitive trends in the financial and Telco sectors.
  • Strategically accompany the team to ensure pipeline tracking discipline, forecast vs. budget, and sales closures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the main leaders of Financial entities and Telco companies, promoting trust and a long-term vision.
  • Expand relationships to different client areas where Experian's solutions can generate value.
  • Propose alternatives and new ways to approach clients to meet budget objectives.
  • Ensure that clients receive the best possible service and that the products they acquire fulfill their value proposition.
  • Mobilize and align internal areas to fulfill contractual commitments acquired with clients.
  • Lead negotiations with clients, ensuring correct structuring to obtain revenues that cover short-term goals and ensure long-term growth and business sustainability.
  • Identify and manage risks derived from commercial management and those related to client revenues and operations.
  • Lead the transformation of the sales force towards hybrid roles (Account Management + New Business), more specialized and consultative, driving the adoption of metrics and sufficient pipeline coverage.
  • Ensure compliance with key area indicators (portfolio, visits, reports, account plans, consumption, renewals, prices, and profitability).
  • Continuously analyze market trends, competitor actions, and client needs to adjust strategies.
  • Work in synergy with marketing, product, delivery, operations, consulting, and finance to ensure effective execution.
  • Ensure the acquisition and updating of client and non-client data.
  • Actively participate in the development of products and services from a client perspective.

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and transform teams towards ambitious goals. Ability to build strong relationships with highly demanding clients in regulated and competitive sectors.
  • Disciplined approach to execution, with leadership and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical and consulting skills, with strategic vision and results orientation. Experience in leading change processes in the sales force (specialization, recurring metrics, technical sales).
  • Persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience leading high-performance commercial teams in financial, technological, or consulting sectors, with deep knowledge of commercial strategies and goal achievement in dynamic and challenging contexts.
  • Required technical knowledge: Credit risk cycle, SARLAFT, software platforms for credit origination process automation and operation optimization. Understanding of commercial compensation models. Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Languages: Intermediate English.
