Business Development is responsible for deepening client relationships by integrating our information solutions, consulting, analytics, and software platforms into their business cycle stages to support their strategic objectives. It drives the adoption of new innovation solutions, shares market best practices, and identifies opportunities to transform client processes. The role involves understanding client needs, market trends, growth goals, and digital transformation projects, ensuring proper implementation and adoption of Experian products for measurable business improvements and value delivery. It also includes structuring plans to support clients, monitoring investment impact, and developing joint businesses.

  • Structure solution proposals with Commercial, Consulting, Product, and Finance areas.
  • Understand client requirements, document for solution development and implementation, and track delivery dates.
  • Professional background in Industrial Engineering, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • Experience in Credit Risk areas.

Job Description

Business Development is the area responsible for deepening client relationships through the integration of our information solutions, consulting, analytics, and software platforms at different stages of their business cycle to support the achievement of their strategic objectives. It is the area responsible for driving the adoption of new innovation solutions, sharing market best practices, and identifying opportunities to transform client processes.

Purpose of the role:

A Business Developer is the person who leads the comprehensive understanding and analysis of our clients' needs according to their strategic plan, market opportunities, trends and threats, their growth goals, cost restrictions, and internal digital transformation and business expansion projects.

Additionally, they must ensure that clients' investment in Experian products is properly implemented and adopted to achieve measurable improvements in their business and deliver the added value the client expects.

They must have the ability to structure plans that allow supporting the client in achieving their goals through the products and services available in Experian's portfolio, generate accompaniment and monitoring plans to ensure that clients' investment in Experian products generates a positive impact on their business, and develop businesses in conjunction with the commercial area to add greater value to Experian and clients.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Position a differential value proposition based on a strategic vision and market knowledge.
  • Understand the business of each assigned client: their needs, plans, and environment.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen the relationship with our clients through the adoption of Experian's value proposition.
  • Thoroughly know the portfolio of solutions that applies to their clients at all stages of their business cycle, with an emphasis on innovation products, digital portfolio, analytics, consulting, platforms, and specialized products that foster client loyalty.
  • Determine the solutions that can generate the most value for the client based on their business maturity.
  • Structure, document, and validate the client development plan in the short and medium term.
  • Quantify the impact of Experian solutions on client results through business cases that allow framing the purchase decision process in quantitative information on return on investment, savings, increased market share, or improvements in their clients' experience.
  • Structuring of solution proposals (Ad hoc, Bids, and integrated solution offers) with the Commercial, Consulting, Product, and Finance areas that guarantee the profitability of the initiative and, in turn, cover the needs and expectations of clients.
  • Identify the key stages of the client's Customer Journey for each of the assigned entities that could be transformed using Experian solutions.
  • Understanding client requirements and gathering documentation for the development and implementation of solutions. Follow-up on delivery dates for testing and production. Once in production, support is provided with Experian's service and support areas to monitor correct functioning.

Who has the ability to structure solution ecosystems for different client business lines, combining information solutions, technological platforms, and analytics. Professionally, an industrial engineer, economist, business administrator, or related fields, with experience in Credit Risk areas. Some of the valuable competencies for the position are the ability to influence, resilience, proactivity, self-leadership, strategic thinking, communication, teamwork, goal orientation, and customer service.
