Job Description

The Corporate & Tech Regulatory Manager will support regulatory analysis for the corporate and technology sector, protecting the business from government oversight and regulatory challenges. This includes managing internal regulatory risks, tax, competition, anti-trust, personal data protection, cybersecurity, and AI regulations. The role requires internal leadership and strong representation in government engagements. Key responsibilities include building relationships with government officials and institutions in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, developing public policy plans, coordinating internally with GoTo's group of companies, networking with various stakeholders to build strategic alliances, and managing public policy projects.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Politics, International Relations, or Economics.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in public policy and government relations.
  • Established network among government stakeholders with proven policy impact.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Independent project management capabilities.
Good to have:
  • Strong network in the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs.

About The Role
The individual will support regulatory analysis related to the corporate and technology sector, to ensure the business and its expansion are protected from government oversight and regulatory challenges. This includes topics such as internal regulatory risk management, tax, competition and anti-trust, personal data protection, cybersecurity and AI regulations. This role is expected to take on more leadership tasks internally and be a strong representative for the company in engagements with the government.

What You Will Do

    • Relationship Building: Proactively establish and strengthen relationships with government officials, nonprofit groups, and other key institutions across Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
    • Policy Development: Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to develop a strategic and actionable public policy plan that aligns with organizational goals.
    • Internal Coordination: Work closely with internal teams within GoTo’s group of companies to ensure cohesive strategy execution across various initiatives. Including being able to present ideas and updates in a clear manner to leadership. 
    • Networking and Alliance Building: Cultivate and leverage relationships with a broad network including government, non-government stakeholders, civil society, thought leaders, industry associations, and think tanks to forge strategic alliances.
    • Project Management: Oversee public policy projects that involve cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, ensuring successful outcomes and alignment with broader business objectives.

What This Role Needs

    • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Politics, International Relations, or Economics from a reputable university.
    • At least 5 (five) years experience in the field of public policy and government relations, or in related sectors such as law firms, think tanks, civil society organizations, or government.
    • Established network among government stakeholders with a proven impact on policy decisions. Strong network in the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs is a plus point. 
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication skills, and independent project management capabilities.
