Job Description

As a Credentialing Analyst at TransUnion, you will perform due diligence, authenticate end-users' permissible purpose, and assess the certified intended use of services based on local regulations. You will investigate complex cases using third-party tools and online resources, support departmental initiatives, and document processes. The role requires strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, with a focus on regulatory compliance, business legitimacy assessment, and process optimization. You will manage multiple tasks, maintain focus, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in a remote work environment.
Must Have:
  • BA/BS in business or finance or related field
  • Matric and relevant tertiary qualification
  • 5+ years prior professional work experience
  • Performance of due diligence examination on more complex cases
  • Authentication of end users permissible purpose/authorized uses based on local government regulations and laws
  • Assessment of certified intended use of services and or products requested on more complex customers
  • Examination and investigation via Third Party tools and/or resources
  • Provide support to the Lead/Manager with various departmental initiatives
  • Support internal partners providing guidance and procedural updates specific to credentialing processes
  • Document and maintain departmental processes
  • Provide support to the Team for QA accountability
  • Reside in a fibre-ready home with a dedicated, confidential workspace
  • Minimum of a 100 Meg Fibre line is required
  • Clear credit record (for some positions)

  • Examination and investigation via Third Party tools and/or resources; as well as research of online resources that can be used as compensating resource equivalent to third party tools and/or resources.
  • Provide support to the Lead/Manager with various departmental initiatives
  • Support internal partners providing guidance and procedural updates specific to credentialing processes.
  • Document and maintain departmental processes. Provide support to the Team for QA accountability and assist the QA Team with questions or clarification on the QA process for Credentialing

  • Assessing Business Legitimacy: Analyze and interpret local government documentation and requirements across various countries to validate the legitimacy of business entities.
  • Policy Enforcement & Optimization: Apply sound judgment and analytical reasoning to enforce TransUnion credentialing policies, with the ability to identify gaps and recommend improvements based on real-world experience and insights.
  • Leading Complex Projects: Take ownership of multiple special handling initiatives, applying strategic thinking and problem-solving to drive successful outcomes across cross-functional teams

  • Experience in compiling, analyzing, and presenting data-driven reports to support decision-making and operational transparency.

Subject Matter Expertise & Initiative

  • Recognized or aspiring Subject Matter Expert in Credentialing, Consulting, Credit, Client Success, or Financial Services.

Remote Work Readiness

  • Must reside in a fibre-ready home with a dedicated, confidential workspace suitable for daily remote operations.

For positions based in South Africa, preference will be given to suitably qualified candidates from designated groups in line with the company's Employment Equity plan and targets.
