Job Description

NVIDIA seeks a Customer Program Manager for their Automotive business unit in China. This role focuses on managing autonomous driving and centralized car computer programs with Tier-1 suppliers and OEMs. Responsibilities include defining program schedules, managing progress, translating customer requirements into actionable tasks, communicating with various teams, resolving technical and logistical issues, and building strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience in the automotive or embedded industry, and proven program management skills. This position demands excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities.
Must have:
  • 5+ years project/program management experience in Automotive or Embedded industry
  • Strong technical background and OEM experience
  • Global project handling experience
  • BS/MS in Engineering or Computer Science (MBA a plus)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
Good to have:
  • Experience managing complex hardware/software development (automotive)
  • ADAS, Autonomous Driving, Mapping, or Data Collection project experience
  • Leadership in coordinating functional teams

We are searching a Customer Program Manager for the China market to lead the autonomous driving and centralized car computer programs with Tier-1 system provides and car OEMs. As a key member of the Customer Program Management Team for NVIDIA's Automotive business unit, this role requires an expert in Program Management with solid engineering background who will be responsible for the managing of program execution as well as customer relations.

What you'll be doing

  • Define program schedules, achievements and work based on the customer roadmap and requirements

  • Manage the progress of the defined program landmarks and define the countermeasures to keep them in case of deviations

  • Translate customer requirements into specific tasks for all functional areas and actively collect, track and drive all issues to closure

  • Communicate the issue status to the customer and internal teams located on different geographical zones

  • Identify and accurately represent the priority of issues and raise them appropriately

  • Work closely with the engineering, quality, logistics and the Sales team to resolve technical and logistic issues

  • Regularly communicate the program status and key issues to customer and Nvidia management

  • Drive and manage on time execution of the programs

  • Develop a close working relationship with the customers’ development teams and be the first point of contact for major program issues

What we need to see

  • Have 5+ years of experience in project/program management in the Automotive or Embedded Industry for electrical/electronic and software products

  • A strong technical background and experience working with customers in an OEM environment

  • Experience in handling global projects with multinational program members

  • BS/MS in Engineering or Computer Science, MBA with prior technical background

  • Good presentation skills

Ways to stand out from the crowd

  • Track record in managing complex hardware and software product development preferably in automotive industry

  • Prior experience in ADAS, Autonomous Driving, Mapping or Data Collection projects

  • Leadership in coordination of different functional teams towards the same target

  • Good communication, negotiation, and organization skills.

  • Dedicated and able to work with a minimum of supervision
