Job Description

The UX/CX Designer is responsible for creating market-leading experiences for Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting software applications. This role involves collaborating with Product Management and agile teams to translate complex customer and business requirements into simple, balanced solutions within a technical framework. The designer will drive Lean Product principles, producing products that empower and delight customers, and must be a driven self-starter in a fast-paced environment.
Must have:
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA permanently
  • Figma, Miro, and Asana or similar design tools
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, SASS, LESS, Angular, React, Bootstrap
  • 2+ years of experience as a User Interface Designer, Interaction Designer, or similar role
  • Strong visual design sense, familiarity with branding standards, across portfolio suite of software products
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of design paradigms, examples, and best practices with web software applications
  • Strong knowledge of Lean UX/Agile Methodologies
  • Knowledge of user research methods: contextual inquiry, persona development, and usability testing
  • Able to listen well to user needs, ask the right questions
  • Experience working in distributed, collaborative teams and working directly with development groups for the implementation of designs
  • A portfolio that demonstrates problem solving, innovation, and design across multiple platforms
  • Fluency in best practices for Web-based information architecture and design as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
  • Work closely with Product Management and Subject Matter Experts to ensure proper translation of business requirements that represent the customer point of view
  • Participate in various customer research efforts to define the customer-driven user experience
  • Produce necessary UX artifacts (storyboards, journey maps, affinity diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, UI specification deliverables, user testing, etc.)
  • Contribute and adhere to the development of the Design System
  • Gain quick, continuous user feedback to help guide the design process
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT): issue identification and resolution
  • Manage individual workload and deliver to agreed-upon project milestones
  • Foster a creative, positive, efficient and collaborative team working environment
  • Identify/mitigate risks to delivering solutions on time
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals at all levels
  • Stay current, and even ahead of, design trends and industry standards
Good to have:
  • A formal education in Interaction Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, HCI, Information Architecture, or comparable professional experience required.

About the Role:

The UX/CX Designer is responsible for creating market-leading experiences for Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting software applications. Working closely with Product Management and high performing agile teams, the CX/UX Designer translates complex customer and business requirements into simple, balanced solutions within the constraints of a complex technical framework. The candidate will drive Lean Product principles within the teams, producing products that empower and delight our customers. The candidate will be a driven self-starter and thrive in a fast paced, fast thinking environment. Must be legally authorized to work in the USA permanently.

Hybrid: Eight days a month we come together in the closest office within 50 miles to experience the value of connecting with colleagues. You will report to the Manager, CX/UX Design, and work under the leadership of the Director, CX/UX Design. Required Job Qualifications (minimum):

  • Travel: Domestic Travel up to 5% of work time to customers, vendors and other work groups.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA permanently
