JOB OVERVIEW

Plan A Technologies is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Data Architect to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support our analytics and business intelligence needs. A strong background in Azure Databricks is essential for this role.


Please note: you must have at least 5+ years of experience as a Data Architect to be considered for this role.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive data architecture frameworks, encompassing data modeling, integration, storage, and governance.

  • Design and oversee the implementation of scalable data pipelines and ETL processes, ensuring data quality and integrity.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust data solutions.

  • Lead the development of data warehouse and data lake solutions, leveraging Azure Databricks and other cloud technologies.

  • Establish data governance practices, including data privacy, compliance, and security standards.

  • Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools to enhance data architecture capabilities.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to data engineering teams, promoting best practices in data management.



EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 5 years in a data architecture role.

  • Proven expertise in Azure Databricks, including designing and managing large-scale data solutions.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.

  • Experience with ETL tools and frameworks such as Apache Airflow and DBT.

  • Familiarity with big data technologies like Apache Spark and Hadoop.

  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Be flexible to change, and willing to adapt to the client and team needs

  • Ability to work with engineers in multiple countries

  • Must have an organized and analytical working style, and the ability to plan your own work

  • Initiative and drive to do great things


 Nice to have:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Oracle Cloud.

  • Familiarity with Snowflake and Databricks.

  • Certifications in data architecture or cloud technologies
