JOB OVERVIEW

Plan A Technologies is looking for a skilled Microsoft Developer with deep hands-on experience in Microsoft Dataverse and strong consulting and communication skills. This role involves designing, building, and optimizing solutions using the Power Platform ecosystem (Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Fx) while working closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective, scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate has a mix of technical expertise and business understanding, capable of delivering end-to-end solutions, providing guidance on best practices, and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Please note: you must have at least 8+ years of experience as a Microsoft Developer to be considered for this role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Design, configure, and manage Microsoft Dataverse environments, including data modeling, relationships, and security models.
• Develop and customize Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven) to meet business requirements.
• Build, test, and maintain Power Automate flows for process automation and system integration.
• Write and maintain logic using Power Fx to enhance app functionality and automate data processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Ensure solutions align with best practices for maintainability, performance, and security.
• Document technical designs and provide user training and handover materials.
• Participate in solution architecture discussions, advising on best practices within the Power Platform ecosystem.

EXPERIENCE

• Microsoft Dataverse: Deep understanding of data modeling, tables, relationships, and integration capabilities.
• Power Fx: Proficiency in writing formulas for Canvas Apps and Dataverse logic.
• Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven): Experience in building, customizing, and maintaining business applications.
• Power Automate: Proven ability to design and optimize flows for business process automation.
• Relational Database Knowledge: Solid understanding of normalization, indexing, and query optimization.
• Solution Architecture: Ability to design scalable, maintainable, and secure Power Platform solutions.
• Business Analysis: Skilled in understanding business processes and translating them into effective solutions.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English for stakeholder engagement, documentation, and user training.
• Collaboration: Comfortable working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Analytical and proactive in finding efficient solutions to complex challenges

Nice to Have:

• JavaScript & HTML/CSS: Intermediate knowledge for customizing forms and UI in model-driven apps.
• TypeScript: Beneficial for more structured client-side scripting.
• PCF (PowerApps Component Framework): Experience building or maintaining custom components is a strong plus.
• Azure Functions / Logic Apps: For advanced automation and integrations.
• REST APIs / OData: Experience with Dataverse Web API for CRUD operations and system integration.
• Microsoft Graph API: Useful for connecting with Microsoft 365 and other Microsoft services.
