Job Description

As a Data Manager at Haleon, you will be responsible for Data Governance requirements for global standard costs and transfer prices within the SAP Intercompany Profit Tracking (ICT) system. This includes periodic data setting, day-to-day changes, and supporting business change projects. You will react rapidly to emerging issues, ensuring compliance with global trade, financial, legal, and fiscal requirements. The role involves overseeing outsourced BPO team members, collaborating across various teams, and continuously driving process improvements. You will also build sustainable processes with robust governance and ensure compliance with internal control frameworks.
Must have:
  • Adhere to current Haleon GxP and compliance procedures.
  • Responsible for Data Governance requirements for global standard costs and transfer prices in SAP ICT system.
  • Cover all related activities, with a primary focus on day to day (BAU) changes.
  • Support Data Principal with ad-hoc requests, activities & projects.
  • React rapidly to emerging issues for swift resolution, ensuring compliance with global trade, financial, legal & fiscal requirements.
  • Ensure success of activities migrating from UK to Bengaluru GCC.
  • Apply personal resilience, prioritization, collaboration and time management.
  • Oversee outsourced BPO team members (Genpact) daily.
  • Work collaboratively across GFS, TPF and other Haleon teams, avoiding siloed working.
  • Simplify messaging about Haleon’s Trading Partner operating model and processes.
  • Build a wide network of stakeholders, manage escalations, and gather feedback.
  • Continuously identify and drive improvements in end-to-end processes.
  • Build sustainable processes using robust governance and documentation.
  • Support appropriate training and access provisioning for global teams.
  • Support regular 2-way communications with global Finance & non-Finance teams.
  • Ensure controls & processes, including Sox, comply with Group Internal Control Framework.
  • Answer audit queries adequately and in a timely manner.
Good to have:
  • MBA or Accounting qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent)
  • Supply Chain and / or FMCG industry experience

Job Purpose:

As all roles in TPF, this role requires adherence to current Haleon GxP and compliance procedures.

Reporting to and supporting the Data Principal:

  • Responsible for the Data Governance requirements for global standard costs and transfer prices held in the SAP Intercompany Profit Tracking (ICT) system - the “golden” record across:
  • Periodic data setting (currently annual)
  • Day to day (BAU) changes
  • Business change projects
  • You will be expected to cover all related activities, with a primary focus on day to day (BAU) changes
  • Supporting the Data Principal with ad-hoc requests, activities & projects in respect of broader business objectives.
  • On a daily basis you are expected to react rapidly to emerging issues that require swift resolution to keep the supply chain moving, whilst ensuring compliance with global trade, financial, legal & fiscal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

TPF is building a new team at the Haleon GCC, Bengaluru. This team will receive activities migrating from the UK. You will initially play a key part in ensuring the success of this project.

Your post-transition responsibilities will include – but non-exhaustively

  • Applying personal resilience, prioritization, collaboration and time management to deliver team and wider TPF & GFS objectives / KPIs / roadmap
  • Living Haleon behaviours in everything you do
  • Day to day oversight of outsourced BPO team members (Genpact)
  • Working collaboratively across GFS, TPF and other Haleon teams, always avoiding siloed working
  • Always striving to simplify messaging about Haleon’s Trading Partner operating model, Intercompany profit elimination processes and the ICT system
  • Building a wide network of stakeholders across Finance and non-Finance teams, managing escalations and ensuring feedback is gathered regularly
  • Continuously identifying & driving improvements in end-to-end processes, ensuring efficiency and cost effectiveness appropriate for an FMCG company e.g. workflow tools, increased automation, continuous accounting
  • Building sustainable processes using robust governance, escalation routes, clear RACIs and regularly maintained documentation (e.g. SOPs, policies, learning plans)
  • Supporting appropriate training & access provisioning requirements for global teams
  • Supporting regular 2-way communications with global Finance & non-Finance teams to cascade information / instructions and increase wider understanding of ICO systems & processes
  • Ensuring controls & processes, including Sox, operate in compliance with the Group Internal Control Framework or other policies / compliance requirements e.g. GxP
  • Ensuring audit queries (internal, external, financial, non-financial) are answered adequately and in a timely manner
  • On a daily basis you are expected to react rapidly to emerging issues that require swift resolution to keep the supply chain moving, whilst ensuring compliance with global trade, financial, legal & fiscal requirements.

Skills and Education:

  • University degree – Finance/Accounting/Economic or relevant
  • Preferred Qualifications: MBA or Accounting qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent).
  • At least 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience working with financial data in a large global organization
  • Experience of working in a controls / Sarbanes Oxley environment
  • Experience with SAP / data modules
  • Supply Chain and / or FMCG industry experience
  • Experience of working with outsourced BPO providers.

Competencies:

Technical Skills:

  • Fluency in English
  • Experience of working with enterprise level data governance processes and / or systems
  • In depth knowledge of SAP
  • Solid analytical Skills
  • Ability to identify & resolve problems
