Responsibilities
- Review analytics requirements, tracking specifications, and business goals to understand what needs to be tested.
- Manually validate analytics tracking implementations across multiple platforms such as websites, mobile apps, and third-party tools.
- Execute test cases to verify that user interactions (clicks, page views, events, conversions) are correctly tracked and reported in analytics systems.
- Use browser developer tools and network monitoring tools to inspect analytics calls and data payloads.
- Identify, document, and communicate tracking bugs, inaccuracies, and data inconsistencies to developers and analytics teams.
- Collaborate with analytics specialists, developers, and product owners to resolve tracking issues and validate fixes.
- Participate in regression and user acceptance testing focused on analytics features and tracking changes.
- Maintain and update tracking test cases and documentation as analytics strategies evolve.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy policies and regulations in analytics tracking.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in manual testing, preferably with a focus on analytics or digital tracking.
- Strong understanding of web analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.) and tracking technologies.
- Proficient in using browser developer tools (Chrome DevTools, Firefox Developer Edition) and network monitoring tools to validate analytics data.
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and HTTP protocols to understand data collection mechanisms.
- Experience writing and executing detailed manual test cases and defect reports.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in data validation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with Agile development and testing methodologies.
