Job Summary
Asobo Studio has been creating games for over 20 years, with 25 titles for PC and consoles, including original creations and famous franchises. Currently, over 300 employees work on Microsoft Flight Simulator, A Plague Tale, and HoloForge (XR department). The studio aims to create exceptional and memorable interactive experiences. This role offers the opportunity to work on a legendary video game franchise with high-quality standards and millions of players, gaining a transversal view of the project and contributing to the external developer community.
Must Have
- Improve and implement the SDK test plan
- Test the Microsoft Flight Simulator platform: SDK/Dev Mode
- Regularly communicate with game developers to report and track bugs
- Provide community support on the dedicated platform by investigating reported issues
- Minimum 4 years of experience in video game production
- Strong interest in aviation and/or simulation, especially Microsoft Flight Simulator
- Desire to learn and develop programming skills (web technologies, scripting, C#, C++)
- Good analytical and synthesis skills
- Good investigation and information reporting skills
- Ease of communication with technical interlocutors
- Operational written English (comprehension, writing)
Good to Have
- Experience in modding, covering various subjects: technical, art, audio, debug

Your team
You will join the SDK team of the Microsoft Flight Simulator project, under the supervision of Sylvain, Associate Lead Technical QA, and Eric, Lead Engine Programmer.
This role will allow you to interact externally, by responding to our community of third-party developers, and internally, with all development teams (Art, Design, Programming, etc.).

Your missions
- You will improve and implement the SDK test plan.
- You will test the Microsoft Flight Simulator platform: SDK/Dev Mode.
- You will regularly communicate with game developers to report bugs and ensure their follow-up.
- You will provide community support on the dedicated platform by conducting investigations into reported issues.
The fundamentals for succeeding in this role
- You have a minimum of 4 years of experience in video game production.
- You have a great interest in the field of aviation and/or simulation, particularly Microsoft Flight Simulator.
- You want to learn and develop your programming skills (web technologies, scripting, C#, C++…).
- You have a good analytical and synthesis mind.
- You have good aptitudes for investigation and information reporting.
- You have good communication skills with technical interlocutors.
- Your written English is operational (comprehension, writing).
The little extras to be even more comfortable
- You have modding experience, which allows you to have seen a variety of subjects: technical, art, audio, debug…
