Data Scientist

Stord is seeking a Data Scientist to develop innovative solutions in areas like demand forecasting, network modeling, pricing analytics, and transit time calculations. This role involves designing and implementing ML algorithms, analyzing large datasets, building scalable data pipelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate ML solutions. Must Have

• Design, develop, and implement ML algorithms and statistical models
• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines
• Collaborate with Engineering and SRE to ensure reproducibility, scalability, and reliability of models
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate ML solutions
• Communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in ML technologies
• Strong background in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics
• 5+ years of experience as an ML Engineer or Data Scientist
• Advanced programming skills in Python
• Experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using Pandas and NumPy
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Experience in the logistics or supply chain industry
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and implement ML algorithms and statistical models to enhance our platform and optimize key operational metrics.
• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that inform strategic decisions.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and deployment.
• Collaborate with Engineering and SRE to ensure reproducibility, scalability, and reliability of your models.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate ML solutions into our platform and drive adoption.
• Communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences, effectively presenting findings and recommendations.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in ML technologies and continuously improve model performance.

What You’ll Need:

• A strong background in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as an ML Engineer, Data Scientist, or similar role, with a focus on AI/ML applications.
• Advanced programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using libraries like Pandas and NumPy.
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
