Job Summary

Job Description

This role involves semiconductor engineering design and development for the electronic communications industry. Responsibilities include designing chip layout circuits, documenting specifications, and evaluating semiconductor devices. The engineer will contribute to technical projects, redesign components, and ensure compliance with design specifications. Operating computer-assisted engineering software and collaborating with customers and other departments on design status and technical issues are also key aspects of the role.
Must have:
  • Perform semiconductor engineering design and develop products and devices for the electronic communications industry.
  • Implement new engineering assignments including engineering and designing chip layout circuits.
  • Perform circuit checking, documenting specifications, and modifying and evaluating semiconductor devices and components.
  • Contribute to technical projects within testing methods, device specification, and yield problems.
  • Perform redesign of devices, components, or integrated circuitry for hardware and other systems.
  • Review product requirements and logic diagrams for device definition.
  • Ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and stated requirements.
  • Operate computer assisted engineering software tools and configure them for design engineering tasks.
  • Implement design programs and procedures.
  • Confer with customers and other departments on design status, processing, testing, and technical issues.
  • Monitor production of products and devices to ensure conformance to design specifications.
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering (or related field).
  • One year of experience in Physical Design Verification (DRC), RTL to GDS, SoC Physical Design flow, Static Timing Analysis (STA), Optimizing clock quality of results (QoR), Place-and-route (PnR) flow, and Scripting languages such as Python, TCL and Perl.

Implement new engineering assignments including engineering and designing chip layout circuits, circuit checking, documenting specifications, and modifying and evaluating semiconductor devices and components. Contribute to technical projects within the areas of testing methods, device specification, and yield problems; perform redesign of devices, components, or integrated circuitry for hardware and other systems; and will review product requirements and logic diagrams for device definition. Ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and stated requirements. Operate computer assisted engineering software tools and configure the same to perform design engineering tasks and implement design programs and procedures. Confer with customers and other departments on design status, processing, testing and technical issues, and failure analysis. Monitor production of products and devices to ensure conformance to design specifications.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering (with related variants such as VLSI or Physics), foreign equivalent or related field.

One (1) year of experience in job offered, Project Engineer or related occupation.

Required skills:

Position requires one (1) year of experience in:
