Job Description

The Software Automation Engineer will research, design, develop, and test software systems and applications for the semiconductor industry, focusing on enhancements and new products for Automotive, IoT, Networking, and RF business lines. Responsibilities include developing, testing, and documenting operating systems and applications, integrating microcontrollers and processors, providing technical support, and analyzing software impact for next-gen SoCs. The role involves porting algorithms, optimizing performance, and solving system design issues.
Must have:
  • Research, design, develop, and test software systems and applications for enhancements and new products.
  • Assist R&D Analog Validation Engineering group to develop products for Automotive, IoT, Networking, and RF.
  • Develop, test, and document operating systems and/or applications.
  • Facilitate smooth integration of microcontrollers, processors, and development platforms.
  • Provide hardware and software technical support, software development, and training.
  • Analyze the impact of software and algorithms for next-generation SoC definition.
  • Contribute to porting new algorithms and commercial frameworks, analyze performance, and propose optimizations.
  • Create, evaluate, and demonstrate hardware and software and associated training materials.
  • Solve system design issues and respond to technical questions.
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineer, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in job offered, Embedded Software Engineer, or related occupation.
  • Three (3) years of experience in Embedded C, C++, Python, Assembly, shell, MATLAB, Test Stand, LabVIEW.
  • Three (3) years of experience with HW/SW Peripherals: PLLs, ASICs, Interrupts, I2C, SPI, MSC.
  • Three (3) years of experience with Technical Tools: IMS, Git, Jenkins, Jira, JTAG Lauterbach debugging, Oscilloscope.
  • Three (3) years of experience with Microcontrollers: Infineon, Renesas, ST Micro.

Job Description:

Research, design, develop, and test software systems and applications for enhancements and new products for the semiconductor industry. Assist within the R&D Analog Validation Engineering group to develop products for multiple business lines in Automotive, Internet of Things (IoT), Networking and Radio Frequency, with expertise in hardware engineering, including architecture, IP and full SoC Design. Responsible for developing, testing, and documenting operating systems and/or applications to be use in new products or the modification of existing products. Facilitate the smooth integration of microcontrollers, processors, and development platforms into relevant applications. Provide hardware and software technical support, software development, and training for processors and reference design systems. Analyze the impact of the software and algorithms for the definition of the next generation of SoC. Contribute to porting of new algorithms and commercial framework, analyze performance, and propose optimizations. Create, evaluate, and demonstrate hardware and software and associated training materials. Solve system design issues and respond to technical questions.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineer, Computer Engineering, foreign equivalent or related field.

Three (3) years of experience in job offered, Embedded Software Engineer, or related occupation.

Required skills:

Position requires three (3) years of experience in:

  • Programming Languages such as Embedded C, C++, Python, Assembly, shell, MATLAB, Test Stand, and LabVIEW
