Job Summary
As the Director of Analytics for The Sims Franchise, you will lead analytics strategy and execution across a globally recognized and evolving product portfolio. You will manage a team of data analysts, managers, engineers, and architects. Collaborating with product management, game development, finance, and marketing partners, you will inform decisions that shape player experience and drive business performance. This hybrid role, based in Redwood Shores, CA, involves defining KPIs, guiding data analysis, and leading machine learning initiatives to personalize player experiences and enhance team productivity.
Must Have
- Lead the Franchise-wide analytics vision and roadmap to support player experience, product development, and business goals
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of analysts and team leads, creating a supportive, accountable, and proactive team culture
- Build strong partnerships with senior leaders across Product, Game Development, Finance, and Marketing
- Guide the team in using SQL, experimentation, player telemetry, and statistical modeling to uncover opportunities and inform critical live service decisions
- Help define KPIs, measurement frameworks, and long-term analytics goals for the franchise
- Conceive of and lead machine learning initiatives that personalize the player experience, such as dynamic content recommendation, and integrate these solutions into A/B testing strategies
- Identify and support practical use cases for applying AI tools to analytics workflows and automation tools to increase team productivity and insight generation
- 10+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience managing analysts or data teams
- Experience working on live service games or similar digital products
- Ability to build relationships and influence senior partners using data
- Strong communication skills, including presenting analysis to non-technical teams
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with Python or R for statistical analysis
- Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests or other experiments
- Familiarity with applying AI tools to analytics workflows to support analytics tasks

The Role
As the Director of Analytics for The Sims Franchise, you will lead analytics strategy and execution across a globally recognized and evolving product portfolio. You will manage a team of data analysts, managers, engineers and architects. You will work with partners in product management, game development, finance, and marketing to inform decisions that shape the player experience and drive business performance. This role is based in Redwood Shores, CA, with a hybrid work model (3 days per week in office). You will report to the Senior Director of Analytics and be a key member of the franchise leadership team.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the Franchise-wide analytics vision and roadmap to support player experience, product development, and business goals

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
- California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. San Francisco) *$186,900 - $289,700 USD
In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
