Summary

Publicis Sapient is looking for a highly seasoned Federal Business Development professional to join their elite Government Services Team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new markets, new industries, and new clients. You will bring the full capabilities of Publicis Sapient to your client(s) to expand and grow the business. You will harness the depth and breadth of Publicis Sapient’s portfolio and rich assets. You will own the Capture Strategy for IT Modernization and Digital Transformation within HHS NIH (National Institutes of Health), maintain a strong Federal and partner relationship network, craft and negotiate prime and partnership agreements, develop agency account plans and manage a portfolio of opportunities, and identify, cultivate, and lead BD pursuits in one or multiple target accounts.
Must have:
  • Demonstrated understanding of trends impacting the Federal government, particularly within HHS NIH
  • Understanding of federal contracting rules and experience successfully identifying and winning medium-to-large RFPs, BPAs, and IDIQs
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture Trusted Partner-level relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders
  • Existing set of relationships with partners, COs, and Federal employees
  • Demonstrated ability to organize internal SME teams to establish strong Industry POVs and enable value-driven conversations at executive levels
  • Demonstrated ability to shape opportunities with clients and stakeholders using data-driven research and strategies
  • Strong learning mindset and drive for continuous evolution and self-improvement
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills

Job Description

We are seeking a highly seasoned Federal Business Development professional to join our elite Government Services Team to focus on developing new markets, new industries, and new clients. You will provide thought leadership and innovation in relentless pursuit of helping our clients achieve their goals. You will bring the full capabilities of Publicis Sapient to your client(s) to expand and grow the business. Your individual results roll-up to the results of our company growth, and in this role, you will harness the depth and breadth of Publicis Sapient’s portfolio and rich assets.

In this role, you will be tasked with the following:

  • Own the Capture Strategy for IT Modernization and Digital Transformation within HHS NIH (National Institutes of Health)
  • Maintain a strong Federal and partner relationship network to support the execution of strategic partnering strategies for upcoming opportunities
  • Craft and negotiate prime and partnership agreements focused on achieving mutually beneficial outcomes for PS, our partners, and our clients
  • Develop agency account plans and manage a portfolio of opportunities based on the full range of capabilities across the PS portfolio
  • Identify, cultivate, and lead BD pursuits in one or multiple target accounts, often at different stages of capture
  • Engage executives, SMEs, and delivery leaders to identify individuals with the proper skills to ensure that client meetings and/or proposals reflect PS’ unique perspective and approach
  • Use a wide variety of data sources and personally developed network sources to identify and shape prospect opportunities, partnerships, and emerging market or new requirement opportunities
  • Develop and present briefings and point of views that showcase the ways in which PS capabilities can help agencies realize outcomes in support of their near- and long-term strategic goals
  • Stay abreast of industry trends as well as trends in the digitally enabled world, including how these trends may affect client’s business and marketing initiatives, industry partnerships, and to proactively position PS as the preferred and differentiated solution provider
  • Ideate and develop thought leadership pieces that highlight trends in the industry; represent PS by presenting ideas at events and conferences attended by Federal clients and partners

Qualifications

  • Business: Demonstrated understanding of the trends impacting the Federal government, particularly within the HHS NIH; An understanding of federal contracting rules and experience successfully identifying and winning medium-to-large RFPs, BPAs, and IDIQs
  • Partnership: Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture Trusted Partner-level relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders; An existing set of relationships with partners, COs, and Federal employees that will facilitate defining and executing a successful capture strategy
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to organize internal SME teams to establish strong Industry POVs and enable value-driven conversations at executive levels; a demonstrated ability to shape opportunities with clients and stakeholders using data-driven research and strategies.
  • Self: Strong learning mindset and drive for continuous evolution and self-improvement, including exceptional communication and negotiation skills, personal adaptability, and high empathy and curiosity
  • Demonstrated expertise and established professional network across IT Modernization, Customer Experience, and Digital Transformation
  • Bachelor’s Degree minimum with advanced degrees preferred.
  • Flexible and mobile, able to work in a hybrid WFH and office and travel as the role necessitates.

Additional Information

Pay Range: $156,000 - $234,000

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
