Job Description

Egnyte is seeking a Director of Sales Development to lead and develop their Sales Development team. This role will focus on increasing the number of quality opportunities for the field sales team by building, developing, and managing the Sales Development Representatives (SDRs). The Director will be responsible for executing current processes, developing new tactics to improve efficiency, supporting SDRs in geographical territory management, and establishing daily productivity metrics. They will also review team performance, implement strategies to increase output, partner with Sales Operations on enablement tools, and develop/deliver training programs on sales techniques, personas, and cadences. The position involves creating and delivering sales kickoff and quarterly reviews, measuring lead indicators, and designing a sales playbook and learning guide.
Must have:
  • Manage and develop sales development reps to exceed targets
  • Execute and improve sales processes and tactics
  • Review team performance and increase output
  • Partner with Sales Operations on tools
  • Develop training on sales objectives and strategies
  • Create sales kickoff and quarterly reviews
  • Design sales playbook and learning guide
  • Demonstrated success managing sales development teams
  • Prior experience in sales or lead generation
  • Technical sales experience (SaaS/Cloud preferred)
  • Experience creating, implementing, and reporting metrics
  • Knowledge of 3rd party lead development resources
  • Strong understanding of sales process and pipeline management
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM

As Egnyte continues to grow and increases focus on driving new customer acquisition with Mid-Market and Enterprise companies, we will look to the Director of Sales Development to build, develop, and continue to lead our Sales Development team. This group will be responsible for increasing the number of quality opportunities for our growing field sales team. The leader of this team should be very well versed in understanding how to train and develop, not just manage performance.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Manage and continue to develop a team of sales development reps to deliver and exceed opportunity targets
  • Execute currently successful processes while developing new tactics to improve efficiency such as supporting reps to develop their geographical sales territories, structuring lead and lag measures, and create daily productivity metrics.
  • Review team performance and employ strategies and tactics to increase output
  • Partner with Sales Operations to optimize the use of sales enablement tools
  • Develop and deliver training programs to help hit key sales objectives by leveraging buying personas, call framing, sales nurturing strategies and cadences.
  • Create and deliver sales kickoff and quarterly reviews including overall strategy of the sales development team and measuring the lead indicators towards to end goals.
  • Design and create a sales playbook and learning guide

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated success managing sales development and/or lead generation teams
  • Prior experience in a direct sales or lead generation role
  • Technical Sales experience. SaaS/Cloud experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience creating, implementing and reporting metrics
  • Knowledge of 3rd party lead development resources
  • Strong understanding of sales process and sales pipeline management
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM systems
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

 

COMPENSATION:

  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across multiple U.S. geographic locations, and pay varies based on defined markets. The standard base pay range for this positionacross the U.S. is $140k - $160k annually. Payvaries by work locationand may also be dependent on job-related skills, knowledge,and/or experience. During the interview and/or hiring process, your recruiter can share more information about the compensation package specific to the role and job location.
