Director of Solutions Architecture

About The Role

As Director of Solutions Architecture at Cerebras, you will lead and grow the team of Solutions Architects who work closely with enterprise, startup, and research customers to design high-performance AI inference and training solutions using unique capabilities of Cerebras technology. This role is central to our go-to-market motion, bridging deep technical expertise with customer business goals. Your team will guide technical discovery, scope and deliver impactful demos and PoCs, and partner with Sales and Product to help customers evaluate, adopt, and fully leverage the power of Cerebras hardware and cloud offerings.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure our technical pre-sales efforts are customer-driven, repeatable, and aligned with long-term adoption. We are looking for a customer-obsessed technical leader with strong domain expertise in GenAI, system architecture, and infrastructure, who thrives in dynamic, cross-functional environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Solutions Architecture team
• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of Solutions Architects
• Foster a collaborative and customer-obsessed team culture
• Set team strategy, prioritize opportunities, and ensure technical excellence across engagements
• Drive the technical pre-sales function across major accounts
• Partner closely with sales leadership to support high-impact opportunities
• Guide technical discovery, solution design, and value articulation for enterprise customers
• Oversee quality and consistency of technical deliverables, from demos to PoCs and field deployments
• Drive alignment between customer goals and internal strategy
• Synthesize field learnings collected by your team into product requirements and feature feedback
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap and priorities
• Ensure alignment between evolving customer needs and Cerebras’ technical value proposition
• Establish and evangelize best practices
• Develop reusable reference solutions, demo content, and deployment playbooks
• Drive knowledge sharing within the team and across the broader customer organization
• Track industry trends and maintain technical thought leadership in customer-facing contexts

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, or field engineering roles.
• 3+ years of experience managing technical teams in customer-facing environments.
• Deep understanding of Generative AI model architecture, inference optimization, enterprise infrastructure and deployment challenges.
• Hands-on experience with AI accelerators, inference serving frameworks, and distributed compute environments.
• Strong technical communication and executive presence; comfortable engaging with both engineers and business leaders.
• Strong program and project management skills — ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
• Passion for solving customer problems with cutting-edge AI infrastructure.

The salary range for this position is $170,000 – $300,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
