Job Description

The DSG Application Engineer at Cadence provides pre-sales and post-sales technical customer support for Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and semiconductor intellectual property (IP) within the Digital & Sign Off Group. Key responsibilities include implementing, training, and maintaining Cadence tools, conducting root cause analysis for technical issues, and providing feedback to the R&D team. The role also involves contributing to the corporate knowledge database, delivering technical training, developing custom digital platform flows, and expanding Cadence's product portfolio through evaluations and benchmarks, ensuring customer success and product proliferation.
Must Have:
  • Provide pre-sales and/or post-sales technical customer support for EDA and semiconductor IP in the Digital & Sign Off Group (DSG).
  • Conduct root cause analysis and provide resolution to customers’ technical issues.
  • Provide feedback to the Research and Development (R&D) team on any bugs and enhancements in Cadence tools.
  • Contribute additions to the company’s corporate knowledge database (KDB).
  • Deliver formal technical update training for other team members, engineers, and customers.
  • Develop custom flows in the digital platform for the customer base.
  • Proliferate and expand Cadence product portfolio for customers by running evaluations and benchmarks.
