Looking for a DWH Developer / Database Developer for a database migration and monitoring engagement for a Formula One team.

Responsibilities

• Setup new production database monitoring across our on prem estate using open source tools (to replace Datadog which we are not renewing)
• Migrate our databases currently running on Kubernetes (PostgreSQL + MongoDB) to AWS and/or on prem servers
• Develop and enforce database development standards, guidelines, and best practices
• Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Lead the design and implementation of data models, database schemas, and data integration solutions
• Perform database performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for database architectures, processes, and procedures
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior database administrators and developers
• Provide peer review on all DB modifications (Schema, Data, SPROCs, Execution Plans, etc.)
• Participate in Emergency Remediation
• Proactive identification and resolution of DB issues concerning performance, scale, data integrity

Requirements

• SQL Server Expert (5 years+)
• MongoDB
• PostgreSQL
• AWS
• Always On Availability Groups
• Extensive experience in setting up monitoring/alerting services
