Job Summary
Silvus Technologies, part of Motorola Solutions, is seeking an Electronics Quality Technician I for their West LA HQ. This full-time, on-site role involves supporting StreamCaster™ MANET product development and manufacturing. Key responsibilities include performing visual and functional inspections of PCB assemblies, conducting basic rework and soldering, interpreting schematics, assisting in production testing, and maintaining ESD-safe work areas. Candidates should have a High School Diploma/GED, at least one year of electronics manufacturing experience, proficiency in soldering, component identification, and familiarity with basic tools and wiring diagrams. The role is critical for ensuring the quality of advanced communication technologies for mission-critical applications.
Must Have
- Perform visual and functional inspection of PCB assemblies under magnification per IPC-J-STD 001 standards.
- Conduct basic rework and soldering on through-hole and surface mount components.
- Interpret basic schematics and assembly drawings to support inspection and rework tasks.
- Assist in production testing and record results accurately.
- Maintain ESD-safe work areas and follow established cleanroom and handling procedures.
- Support calibration and maintenance of quality lab equipment.
- Document defects and assist in quality data collection for analysis.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing or assembly.
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident).
- Successful clearance of a background check.
Good to Have
- IPC-J-STD 001 certification or equivalent training.
- Basic understanding of RF and digital electronics.
- Familiarity with Linux or Windows-based test systems.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and reliability in fast-paced environments.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Electronics Quality Technician I reports to the Quality Supervisor on the Operations - Quality Control team. The successful individual in this role will support StreamCaster™ MANET product development and manufacturing.
The position is full-time, on-site daily, Monday through Friday. The location for this role is Silvus Technologies’ HQ in the heart of vibrant West LA.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform visual and functional inspection of PCB assemblies under magnification per IPC-J-STD 001 standards.
- Conduct basic rework and soldering on through-hole and surface mount components.
- Interpret basic schematics and assembly drawings to support inspection and rework tasks.
- Assist in production testing and record results accurately.
- Maintain ESD-safe work areas and follow established cleanroom and handling procedures.
- Support calibration and maintenance of quality lab equipment.
- Document defects and assist in quality data collection for analysis.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing or assembly.
- Proficient in basic soldering and component identification.
- Familiar with the use of multi-meters and basic hand tools.
- Comfortable reading wiring diagrams or simple circuit drawings.
- NOTE - Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
- All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- IPC-J-STD 001 certification or equivalent training.
- Basic understanding of RF and digital electronics.
- Familiarity with Linux or Windows-based test systems.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and reliability in fast-paced environments.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Occasional exposure to heat and cold.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:
- Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.
- Kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when receiving incoming part shipments.
- Walking/Moving in the labs.
