Job Summary
The Electronics Quality Technician II will support StreamCaster™ MANET product development and manufacturing at Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions company. This full-time, on-site role involves conducting advanced visual inspection and rework per IPC-J-STD 001, performing diagnostic checks, building custom cable assemblies, and collaborating with Quality Engineers to improve processes. The technician will also support RMA processing and maintain inspection tools.
Must Have
- Conduct advanced visual inspection and rework per IPC-J-STD 001 standards.
- Perform continuity, resistance, and voltage checks to support root cause analysis.
- Build and repair custom cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, and test fixtures.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and test equipment under supervision.
- Support RMA processing by performing initial diagnostic checks on returned units.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineers to identify process improvements and recurring issues.
- Document inspection results and communicate non-conformances effectively.
- High School Diploma or GED, or an Associate’s degree in Electronics, with 1 year of relevant experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics assembly, inspection, or rework.
- Strong soldering skills with fine-pitch SMT components.
- Familiarity with basic test equipment (oscilloscope, DMM, power supply).
- Proficient in Windows-based data entry and documentation tools.
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident).
- Successful clearance of a background check.
Good to Have
- Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) under IPC-A-610 or IPC J-STD 001.
- Familiar with low-voltage and RF PCB assemblies.
- Experience supporting R&D or prototype environments.
- Knowledge of ESD controls, calibration tracking, and safety procedures.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Electronics Quality Technician II reports to the Quality Supervisor on the Operations - Quality Control team. The successful individual in this role will support StreamCaster™ MANET product development and manufacturing.
The position is full-time, on-site daily, Monday through Friday. The location for this role is Silvus Technologies’ HQ in the heart of vibrant West LA.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Occasional exposure to heat and cold.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:
- Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.
- Kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when receiving incoming part shipments.
- Walking/Moving in the labs.
CA Pay Range: $29.12 - $31.20 / hourly
This pay range is NOT a guarantee. It is based on market research and peer data and will vary depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
