Job Description

The ELT Sales Representative for Macmillan Education in Morelos is responsible for developing and executing the commercial plan within their assigned zone, covering preschool, primary, and secondary levels in private and official schools. Key duties include client visits, sales strategy development, applying the company's sales model, daily planning and data capture in NEXUS, managing samples and expenses, analyzing growth potential, and attending to booksellers and distributors. The role requires at least 2 years of field sales experience and intermediate English skills.
Must Have:
  • Develop and execute the commercial plan for the assigned zone (private and official schools at preschool, primary, and secondary levels)
  • Provide attention and follow-up to user schools and prospects
  • Meet sales objectives set by the company
  • Perform and execute client visit plans for the assigned zone
  • Analyze sales opportunities and develop strategies to cover them
  • Know and fulfill the company's commercial objectives and plan phases (updating, prospecting, sampling, and closing)
  • Know and apply the company's Sales Model
  • Secure interviews with market decision-makers
  • Perform daily and weekly planning in NEXUS
  • Verify and update information in NEXUS and Registration Sheets
  • Daily capture information from client visits
  • Capture adoptions from competitors and the company in NEXUS
  • Perform sample inventory and deliver results to Sales Supervision and Management
  • Properly manage fixed funds and submit expense reports
  • Deliver car logbook to the Regional sales assistant
  • Analyze zone growth potential (horizontal/vertical)
  • Project sales considering existing and new adoptions
  • Identify key schools for personalized strategic plans
  • Analyze company vs. competitor results (qualitative/quantitative)
  • Present seasonal results by business line when required
  • Attend to Booksellers and Distributors, including presentation and training on new projects
  • High school, completed technical career or unfinished degree
  • English: B1 (intermediate)
  • At least 2 years of experience in field sales and face-to-face sales
  • Valid driver's license
  • Office Suite proficiency

Position Objective

Responsible for developing and fulfilling the company's commercial plan within their assigned zone (private schools and official schools) at preschool, primary, and secondary levels, providing attention and follow-up to user schools, as well as prospects, in addition to meeting the sales objectives set by the company.

Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Perform and execute the client visit plan (schools) corresponding to the assigned zone, analyze sales opportunities in each institution and develop a strategy to cover those opportunities.
  • Responsible for knowing the company's objectives and commercial plan and fulfilling each of its phases (updating, prospecting, sampling, and closing) in the assigned zone.
  • Know and apply the company's Sales Model and apply it in work with each institution, managing to interview decision-makers in their market.
  • Perform daily and weekly planning in the NEXUS tool, verify and update information at all times in both the NEXUS tool and their Registration Sheets, daily capture the information collected during their client visits, capture adoptions from both competitors and the company in NEXUS (closing and updating phase) based on the lists collected.
  • Perform sample inventory and deliver the result to Sales Supervision and Management.
  • Properly manage their fixed fund and submit expense reports on the days indicated by Sales Management, prepare and deliver car logbook to the Regional sales assistant.
  • Analyze the growth potential of their zone (horizontal/vertical), perform sales projections taking into account adoptions to maintain, as well as new ones, identify key schools in their zone to work on a personalized strategic plan, analyze company vs. competitor results (qualitative/quantitative), present seasonal results by business line when required.
  • Attend to Booksellers and Distributors including presentation and training on new projects.

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • High school, completed technical career or unfinished degree
  • English: B1 (intermediate)
  • At least 2 years of experience in field sales and face-to-face sales
  • Valid driver's license
  • Office Suite proficiency
