As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs that launch cutting-edge, world class products that meet and exceed customer needs. Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces.

Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • 2-5 years work experience in embedded software and/or driver
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized
  • Extremely strong knowledge with C/C++ programming
  • Good understanding of overall embedded system architecture

Good to Have

  • Basic working experience in 2D and 3D graphics technology and standards such as OpenGL, OpenGL ES/EGL, Vulkan
  • Experience in any multimedia areas like Display/Video/GFX/Camera/Audio
  • Experience and/or knowledge of the use of the GPU as a compute engine: GPGPU and OpenCL
  • Experience with virtualization technologies across CPU and MM hardware accelerators
  • Experience with writing vertex and fragment shaders using shading languages such as GLSL
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following operating systems: Android, QNX, embedded Linux, Genivi, Integrity
