The NXP Facilities Netherlands department provides housing, operational supplies, and services to both the chip factory located at the NXP-site Nijmegen and the business lines with their offices, laboratories, and support and staff departments located on the premises.

The main tasks of the NXP Facilities Netherlands department within this complex, demanding, and turbulent environment are to provide all facility services. The NXP Facilities Netherlands department also provides facility project management and is a competence center in the field of risk, environmental, and facility engineering.

Facilities operations, as part of NXP Facilities Netherlands, is set up to deliver uninterrupted operational supplies up to the 'point of use' according to agreed specifications and to manage waste streams. This also includes maintaining the correct room conditions in the factories and the management and maintenance of the necessary installations.

As a Facilities Bulk Gas Engineer, you are responsible for:

• Management and supervision of a number of facility installations, including compressed air (CDA) and vacuum installations.
• Management and supervision of centrally located bulk gas installations such as hydrogen, oxygen, helium, nitrogen, and argon. These are generally supplied by OEMs such as Air Products and Air Liquide in fixed liquid setups on the NXP complex.
• Uninterrupted operational supplies and delivery within specification up to the 'point of use'. The available measurement data is used to proactively prevent incidents.
• Ownership of cross-shift malfunctions/problems.
• Participation in projects.
• Cost control.
• Ensuring safety, health, well-being, and environment.

Job requirements:

• HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level; with a technical education such as AOT, marine engineering, mechanical engineering.
• Some years of experience in facility installations is desired.
• In principle, also an excellent work area where a young engineer can develop in collaboration with the available specialists.
• Knowledge of maintenance methodologies (e.g., NEN2767).
• Familiarity with outsourcing maintenance. Cost awareness.
• Familiarity with operating building-related installations.
• Good communication and presentation skills, flexible attitude.
