Job Description

This role involves leading global engineering projects from design to validation/qualification, ensuring compliance with client requirements, budget, and deadlines. The Engineering Delivery Manager will interface with business segments and technical teams, manage work packages, support IVVQ phases, and define development strategies. Key responsibilities include technical, cost, schedule, and performance oversight, as well as managing engineering deliverables and applying development processes. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in systems engineering and experience in system leadership, weapon/aeronautical system development, qualification testing, and transverse management.

  • Ensure technical, cost, deadline, and performance responsibility for offers, ensuring client requirement conformity
  • Manage engineering deliverables production and provide regular technical progress synthesis
  • Be responsible for applying the development process, managing technical facts, calendar/financial risks, and problem resolution
  • Master's degree in engineering with a specialization in systems engineering
  • Experience in system work package management and development of weapon/aeronautical systems
  • Field experience with qualification test monitoring of systems or subsystems
  • Experience in transverse management in co-engineering with various stakeholders

Your daily life

Within the Tactical Vehicles and Systems activity, the La Ferté Saint Aubin site specializes in the production of land and airborne weapon systems (mortars, ammunition, rockets, etc.), force protection systems, and zone control. With its 450 employees, engineers, technicians, and specialized workers, the La Ferté Saint Aubin site ensures research and development, production, testing, as well as all the "support" functions necessary for the design of high-performance systems essential to the success of operational missions. Thales has formed, with the German defense group DIEHL, a Joint-Venture "JUNGHANS T2M" which has 165 employees, allowing the two companies to combine their expertise in electronics and precision mechanics and thus become one of the world leaders in the field of ammunition fuses. This Joint-Venture is also present on the La Ferté Saint Aubin site.

  • Lead a global project including engineering activities (from design to validation/qualification) and master the delivery process;
  • Ensure the interface between Business Segment stakeholders, technical development and industrialization teams, and functionally report to the Project Manager and Product Design Authority;
  • Participate in the preparation of work packages including client needs analysis, estimation and description of packages and deliverables, planning linked to resource availability, and associated risks/opportunities;
  • Provide support to the IVVQ manager during system validation and qualification phases, while ensuring the management and perpetuation of knowledge on our products;
  • As EDM (Engineering Delivery Manager), define, formalize, and manage the project development strategy;
  • Ensure technical, cost, deadline, and performance responsibility for offers, while guaranteeing their conformity with client requirements;
  • Manage the production of engineering deliverables and regularly synthesize technical progress, in conjunction with the Work Package Managers;
  • Be responsible for the application of the development process established for the project, managing technical facts, calendar and financial risks, as well as problem resolution throughout the assigned work.

You have a Master's degree (BAC+5) in engineering with a specialization in systems engineering and have experience in:

  • System work package management/leadership and development of weapon/aeronautical systems,
  • Field experience with monitoring qualification tests of systems or subsystems,
  • Transverse management in co-engineering with various stakeholders,
  • Distributed secure system architecture.
