Job Summary

Thales is seeking a Digital/Analog Electronic Development Architect for its Elancourt site, a key technological excellence center. The role involves defining architectures for future systems, taking charge of the entire electronic assembly (digital, analog, and power), and ensuring its coherence and conformity with client requirements. This position is crucial for designing and validating electronic boards for sensors and seekers in defense, security, and digital services solutions.

Must Have

  • Higher education (BAC+5 minimum) in analog and digital electronics.
  • Minimum 10 years of confirmed experience in designing digital boards (DSP/FPGA/DDR/processors, high-speed communications).
  • Minimum 10 years of confirmed experience in designing analog boards (low-signal/low-noise acquisition, servo control/command) in industrial domain (defense, aeronautics, telecom).
  • Mastery of electronic system design and implementation (sizing, simulation, specifications, component selection, instrumentation, software tools).
  • Ability to analyze client needs.
  • Ability to define electronic architecture.
  • Ability to draft or lead the drafting of technical specifications for electronic boards.
  • Ability to technically supervise electronic board development, ensuring coherence and performance.
  • Ability to provide expertise to teams and production support.
  • Ability to perform technological, component, and equipment watch and build technological roadmaps.
  • Ability to act as a technical referent within the department.

WHO ARE YOU ?

Higher education (BAC+5 minimum) in analog and digital electronics.

You have confirmed experience of at least 10 years in the design of digital boards based on DSP/FPGA/DDR/processors involving high-speed communications, and analog boards for low-signal/low-noise acquisition and servo control/command in the industrial domain (defense, aeronautics and/or telecommunications).

You master the design and implementation of electronic systems: sizing, simulation, drafting specifications, component selection, sub-assemblies, digital and analog instrumentation, and software control tools.

You are proactive and demonstrate leadership to support functional teams.

WHAT WE CAN ACCOMPLISH TOGETHER :

Within our technical competence center, you will join the digital, analog, and power electronics department responsible for designing and validating digital processing, analog acquisition and control, and power supply electronic boards, which are essential components of the sensors and seekers equipping the systems developed by the various sectors of the Business Line.

You will be responsible for contributing to the definition of the architectures of our future systems by taking charge of the entire electronic assembly (digital, analog, and power), ensuring its coherence and conformity with client requirements.

The main missions of the position are :

  • Analyze client needs
  • Define the electronic architecture
  • Draft or lead the drafting of technical specifications for electronic boards
  • Technically supervise the development of electronic boards, taking responsibility for overall coherence and performance adherence in compliance with the process throughout the V-cycle.
  • Provide expertise to all teams in the competence center and sector engineering throughout the development cycle and also in support of production.
  • Perform technological watch, component and equipment watch by consulting suppliers and subcontractors and build technological roadmaps in line with future sector needs.
  • Act as a technical referent within the department on business aspects.
