Optical Systems Division (OSD)
CLT Wafer Fab, Charlotte, North Carolina
is searching for an Engineering Manager for the Charlotte North Carolina MicroOptics location. This individual will lead a team of manufacturing engineers as they develop, test, modify, and create solutions to technical issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a group of manufacturing engineers and technicians engaged in optimizing manufacturing methods
- Analyze process data to improve product/process quality, performance, production, and profitability.
- Participate at all levels within the organization to establish functional business plans and to translate objectives and strategies into tactics to meet the short- and long- term goals.
- Work on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives
- Oversee all the activities related to process improvement and sustaining engineering projects including schedule, budget, and KPI metrics.
- Participate in customer and supplier communications / negotiations.
- Responsible for results, including costs, methods, and staffing, performance evaluation, career growth development and budgeting.

Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, in engineering or in a technology related field
- 12 years of relevant industry experience, 3 years in management
- Optical design/application experience preferred
- Strong experience in MicroOptics fabrication and/or semiconductor processes including photolithography, etch, metrology.
- Customer-facing, team management experience
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills
- Broad understanding of industry trends and directions
Additional Job Description:
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $106,900 - $171,000.
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
