Job Summary
As a Customer Experience Engineer 4, you will serve as a technical partner to customers, translating business needs into robust backend and automation solutions. This role involves writing efficient, testable code in GoLang and Python, developing and maintaining unit/integration tests, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will debug software defects, optimize backend services for performance and scalability, and automate infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible. The position requires hands-on experience with VMware technologies, Kubernetes, and Linux environments, with an emphasis on exploring AI tools to improve productivity and resolution times.
Must Have
- Act as a technical partner to customers for backend and automation solutions.
- Write efficient, reusable, and testable code in GoLang and Python.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or Ansible.
- Work with VMware technologies including NSX, vSphere, Distributed Firewall.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Enterprise Networking, and Linux environments.
- 8+ years of related work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Good to Have
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenAI APIs).
- Experience implementing AI-driven automation or predictive analytics.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical partner to customers, helping translate business needs into backend and automation solutions
- Write efficient, reusable, and testable code in GoLang and Python
- Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, tech leads, and support engineers to deliver robust features
- Debug and resolve software defects across development and production environments
- Optimize backend services for performance, scalability, and reliability
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using IaC tools such as Terraform or Ansible
- Work with VMware technologies including NSX, vSphere, Distributed Firewall, and vCenter
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Enterprise Networking, and Linux-based environments
- Explore and implement AI tools and frameworks to support use cases that will help with improving productivity and resolution times for complex technical issues
- Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to engineering best practices guides
- Document system architecture, APIs, and operational procedures
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in GoLang and Python programming
- Experience building automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: Terraform, Ansible Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks
- Proficiency with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Angular)
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Hands-on experience with VMware technologies: NSX, vSphere, Distributed Firewall
- Exposure to Kubernetes, Enterprise Networking, and Linux-based environments
- Experience in enterprise-scale environments or distributed systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of related work experience
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenAI APIs)

Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $192,000
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
