Engineering Manager (iOS/android/frontend) - Cross Platform - Remote ANZ

This role is a unique opportunity to lead Canva's Cross Platform team, responsible for building shared infrastructure across iOS, Android, and web. You will lead mobile and frontend engineers, owning and evolving cross-platform architecture, uplifting developer experience, and defining technical strategy. The ideal candidate has led engineering teams in mobile or frontend domains, driven architectural decisions, and is passionate about coaching and people growth.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

• Leading a high-performing team of mobile and frontend engineers in delivering hybrid development capabilities at scale
• Owning and evolving our cross-platform architecture (navigation, rendering, offline support, performance)
• Uplifting developer experience through better tooling, testing pipelines, observability, and local dev flows
• Defining technical strategy with engineering, product, and design leaders
• Fostering a culture of clarity, craft, and continuous improvement
• Building the rituals that support team wellbeing and delivery excellence
