Job Description

Technicon Design US is looking for an experienced and talented automotive Engineering Technician to join their collaborative lab. The role involves diagnosing and repairing ECUs and PCBs, including prototypes and test bench setups. Responsibilities include communicating technical support to team members, maintaining detailed work records, and creating documentation for test and assembly processes. The technician will rework printed circuit boards, perform soldering, create wiring harnesses, and test components and PCBs using test stations. Small units will be assembled for integration into electric vehicles. The position requires a degree or equivalent experience in Technology/Technician fields and familiarity with test equipment.
Must have:
  • 2-4 years experience in electronic/engineering labs
  • Technology/Technician degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong electrical knowledge
  • Soldering and harnessing skills
  • Familiarity with test equipment
Good to have:
  • Electric vehicle experience

Engineering Technician:

Technicon Design US is seeking an experience and talented automotive Engineering Technician with a strong desire to work in a collaborative lab shaping the vehicles of tomorrow.

This position is located in the southern Los Angeles area. It is a contract opportunity (6 months to 1 year to start).

Job Functions:
 
  • Diagnose and repair ECU’s and PCB’s, including prototypes and test bench setups.
  • Communicate with fellow team members (engineers, managers or other technicians) to provide technical support.
  • Maintain detailed records of work completed and create documentation for test and assembly processes.
  • Rework printed circuit boards according to engineering specifications and standards.
  • This position is for someone with basic skills of soldering, making wiring harnesses, testing components and PCB’s using “test stations”, not analytical testing. Small units will be assembled and sent for assembly into Electric vehicles.

Qualifications:
 
  • 2 – 4 years experience in electronic/ engineering labs
  • Technology/ Technician degree or equivalent experience
  • Electric vehicle experience is preferred
  • Strong electrical knowledge with soldering and harnessing skills
  • Familiarity with test equipment like voltmeters, oscilloscopes and network analyzers

Pay Range: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
