Job Description

Motorola Solutions is seeking an Enterprise Sales Representative to manage strategic accounts and relationships within Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee. This full-time role involves developing comprehensive sales plans, coordinating resources, influencing technology decisions, and driving large project opportunities for public safety and public service software applications. The representative will build strong relationships with key decision-makers, manage RFPs, and maintain a robust sales pipeline, leveraging 4+ years of sales/public safety experience and strong communication and CRM skills.

  • Sales experience in a technical field, computer software industry, or government sales.
  • Experience selling to multiple levels, project stakeholders, and committees.
  • Experience with large ticket products having long sales cycles.
Must Have:
  • Manage sales, strategic account planning, and overall relationship for target customers.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans for accounts and buying centers.
  • Coordinate diverse internal and external sales resources to assess customer needs.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to influence customer technology platform decisions.
  • Proactively develop large project opportunities across products and services.
  • Engage and lead channel partners in selling Motorola Solutions products.
  • Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in public safety.
  • Track, set strategy, and complete Request for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Develop and maintain an opportunity pipeline showing yearly growth.
  • Provide product demonstrations to customers.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of sales/public safety experience.
  • Ability to articulate and sell enterprise software solutions.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiating skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM for upkeep, management, forecasting, and sales pipeline activities.
  • Must reside in Arkansas, Mississippi, or Tennessee.

Department Overview

The Software Enterprise Sales team is a group within Motorola Solutions, Inc. that provides industry leading, next generation Citizen Engagement, 9-1-1 Call Taking, Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management, Jail Management, Public Service 311, and analytics software applications to the Public Safety and Public Service markets. No other company has the breadth and depth of technology and experience to deliver end to end public safety applications and mission critical voice and data communications systems.

Job Description

Responsibilities of the Enterprise Sales Representative include but are not limited to:

  • Sales, strategic account planning, and overall relationship management for a number of size-specific “target” customers
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales plan for each “target” account and/or geography and their buying centers, covering the full portfolio of Motorola Solutions products and services (core and emerging technologies)
  • Assemble and coordinate a diverse team of internal & external sales resources to assess customer's needs and address their requirements
  • Act as a trusted advisor to influence customer’s technology platform decisions and develop preference and loyalty for Motorola Solutions
  • Proactively develop large project opportunities encompassing a wide range of products and services
  • Proactively engage and lead channel partners in selling Motorola Solutions products and services to customers' buying centers where appropriate
  • Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within and outside of public safety: Sheriff, Mayor, CIO, Police Chief, Fire Chief, and other officials in order to understand and influence technology and funding priorities
  • Proactively engage Motorola executive sponsors to build a strategic relationship to position long-term opportunities for Motorola
  • Develop Motorola procurement vehicles for multiple solutions to be leveraged across an entire account
  • Track, set strategy, and complete Request for Proposals as the industry lead
  • Develop and maintain an opportunity pipeline that shows increased yearly growth
  • Provide product demonstrations to customers where appropriate or when demonstration resources are unavailable
  • Participate in industry committees on behalf of Motorola Solutions

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 4+ years of sales/public safety experience
  • Product demonstration/public safety experience
  • Sales experience in a technical field, computer software industry, or government sales preferred
  • Experience selling to multiple levels, project stakeholders, and committees a plus
  • Experience with large ticket products having long sales cycles beneficial
  • Ability to articulate and sell enterprise software solutions
  • Highly driven and self-motivated
  • Consistently proactive toward lead and opportunity qualification and development processes
  • Possess excellent communication skills and have demonstrated problem-solving and negotiating skills
  • Possess both consultative and relationship-based sales qualities when engaging with prospective customers
  • Familiar with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) upkeep, management, forecasting, and maintenance of sales pipeline activities
  • Possess creative and persuasive presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Proven time management skills are critical.
  • Ability to continually qualify strength and viability of opportunities throughout dynamic sales process is crucial.

  • This position is to be supporting the following states: Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
  • The candidate must live in the described territory.

Target Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
