We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Learning and Development team, focusing on innovative learning solutions and adult learning best practices for enterprise systems and digital technologies. This leadership role involves guiding the design and development of strategic learning solutions for clients, aiming to effectively facilitate knowledge, skills, and competency acquisition. The position holds overall responsibility for delivering instructional and support materials for Enterprise software, specifically JD Edwards.
Must have:
  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis and develop strategy.
  • Define training documentation and publication standards.
  • Manage training work stream resources and project plans.
  • Coordinate client resources and facilitate curriculum review.
  • Plan, develop, and deliver training curriculum using various methods.
  • Monitor and evaluate training program effectiveness and ROI.
  • Manage project training budgets and team development.
  • Minimum 3 years as Training Manager Lead for enterprise systems.
  • Minimum 5 years designing and delivering instructional courses.
  • Minimum 2 years in a consulting role.
  • Proficiency with training documentation tools (Oracle Guided Learning, Captivate, WalkMe, Camtasia, Articulate).
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (Cornerstone, SuccessFactors).
  • Understand software-driven and ERP business processes.
  • Proven project management and people management skills.
  • Deep knowledge of instructional design principles.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely with SMEs.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent.
  • Part-time contractor role (20 hours/week) located in Toronto, Canada.

Position Overview

We are looking for a talented individual to join our growing Learning and Development team with a focus on developing innovative learning solutions and applying adult learning best practices to enable user adoption of enterprise systems and digital technologies. This individual will play a key leadership role in guiding the design and development of strategic learning solutions for our clients. The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills, and competencies in an effective and appealing manner.

This position will have overall responsibility for delivery of instructional and support materials relating to Enterprise software (JD Edwards.) The resource should have significant experience working with and developing standards for multiple Training Documentation & Performance Support Tools (Oracle Guided Learning, Captivate, WalkMe, Camtasia, Articulate, etc.) and Learning Management Systems (Cornerstone, SuccessFactors etc.). This position applies project management skills as it leads in the design, development, and delivery of course materials while continuously identifying problems and recommending solutions for improvement for sustaining the delivered training content.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess training needs through conducting a thorough Training Needs Analysis and consultation with system subject matter experts and client stakeholders
  • Develop an overall Training Strategy to address the needs identified in the Training Needs Analysis
  • Define training documentation & publication standards based on the given Training Documentation tool, Learning Management System, and customer requirements
  • Develop and maintain the training work stream resource and project plan
  • Coordinate with client to ensure availability of key resources needed to provide complete work requirements
  • Work with clients to define curriculum review process and facilitate the QA and review process through the duration of development activities
  • Plan and manage development and delivery of the training curriculum, reporting progress, issue and risk management, and communicate obstacles and opportunities for resolution to the Project Manager/Lead
  • Deploy a wide variety of training methods based on client needs (e.g., blended, eLearning, Virtual Instructor Led)
  • Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions to new team members.
  • Monitor and evaluate each training program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report to appropriate stakeholders
  • Manage project training budgets
  • Provide opportunities for ongoing team development
  • Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as needed
  • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, thought leadership, and best practices

Required Skillsets

  • This a part-time contractor role for 20 hours per week, must be located in Toronto, Canada
  • A minimum of three (3) years working in a Training Manager Lead role for enterprise systems implementation
  • Track record in designing and executing successful systems training programs utilizing modern training methods (train-the-trainer, eLearning, blended, virtual, etc.)
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience designing and delivering instructional courses
  • A minimum of two (2) years in a consulting role
  • Knowledge of requirements for integration of training materials in a Learning Management System
  • Proficiency using multiple training documentation and development tools.
  • Ability to understand software driven business processes
  • Demonstrated understanding of basic business processes in ERP software (Finance, Logistics, Human Resources)
  • Proven project management experience and excellent people management skills
  • Deep knowledge of instructional design principals and technologies
  • Strong communications skills including exceptional writing ability
  • Experience in working independently and remotely with Subject Matter Experts
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
