The Software Asset Manager will lead individuals in Bangalore and collaborate with ISG leadership to develop the Software Asset Management offering and tool capabilities. Responsibilities include meeting with clients, supporting ITAM engagements (maturity assessments, gap analysis, process improvements, tool selection, and implementation), preparing presentations, leading client presentations, identifying performance improvement opportunities for clients for ITAM and adjacent functions, and supporting the development of internal ITAM tools and training materials. The role also involves helping develop intellectual property.
Must have:
  • 4-6 years of experience in software asset management
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Good to have:
  • MBA from an accredited college/university preferred
  • Knowledge of ITAM technology platforms such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or Flexera

 POSITION SUMMARY:

ISG seeks a Software Asset Manager to help lead individuals in Bangalore and work closely with the ISG leadership to develop our Software Asset Management offering and tool capabilities.

 Responsibilities:

  • Meet with prospective clients to explain the benefits and risks of hardware and software asset management
  • Support IT Asset Management (ITAM) engagements that include maturity assessments, gap analysis, process improvements, tool selection, and implementation
  • Prepare deliverables and presentation material to clients in addition to leading client presentations and data gathering sessions to support ITAM initiatives
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities for clients for ITAM and adjacent functions including Change Management and Release Management
  • Support the development of internal ITAM tools and training materials
  • Help develop intellectual property

 Qualifications:

  • 4 -6 years of experience in software asset management 
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in an appropriate field; MBA from an accredited college/university preferred
  • Understand the basic ITAM principles from a physical, financial, and contractual perspective
  • Knowledge of ITAM technology platforms such as ServiceNow, Remedy,  or Flexera preferred
  • Effective written and oral communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
  • Minimal travel 0%-10%
