Job Description

NetEase Games is seeking an Esport Specialist to plan and execute esports tournaments for shooting game products. The role involves designing online and offline tournament operation plans, building official and third-party tournament ecosystems, and managing partnerships. The specialist will oversee tournament operations, including scouting professional players, executing incentive policies, and nurturing KOLs. Responsibilities also include integrating marketing strategies, coordinating resources to achieve KPIs, and continuously optimizing strategies based on data and feedback. Candidates should have 2+ years of experience in esports tournament operations, preferably with shooting games, and be proficient in English.
Good To Have:
  • Prior experience in esports operation or successful execution of esports events is preferred.
  • Experience with shooting game tournaments is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree or above.
  • 2+ years of experience in esports tournament operations.
  • Familiar with one or multiple mainstream esports event systems.
  • Well-acquainted with the ecosystem and operational strategies of community tournaments and self-organized competitions.
  • In-depth understanding of competitive gaming communities, ecosystems, tournament structures, and player dynamic.
  • Proficient in English, able to use it as a working language.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the planning and execution of esports tournaments for shooting game products. Based on product highlights, features, and release timelines, designing online and offline tournament operation plans, building the official and third-party tournament ecosystem from the ground up, and ensuring effective implementation.
  • Develop and manage tournament partnership ecosystems, create diverse tournament content gameplay and third-party platform events to amplify game visibility and engagement.
  • Oversee tournament ecosystem operations, including scouting and maintaining relationships with professional players in official tournaments, executing incentive and operational policies, supporting high-quality tournament content and nurturing potential KOLs, as well as managing hot-topic activations at key milestones.
  • Integrate tournament planning, marketing strategies, and ecosystem operations, coordinating resources to achieve KPIs. Continuously track and analyze tournament data, user feedback, and market dynamics to iterate and optimize strategies for maximum project impact.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, with 2+ years of experience in esports tournament operations. Prior experience in esports operation or successful execution of esports events is preferred; experience with shooting game tournaments is a plus.
  • Familiar with one or multiple mainstream esports event systems in the market, and well-acquainted with the ecosystem and operational strategies of community tournaments and self-organized competitions.
