Job Description

The Senior Marketing Leader will set and achieve goals for new product launches, ongoing operations, engagement, and revenue in Japan, providing support and follow-up to the team. This role involves analyzing user data, community behavior, and market research to understand user needs, tracking changes in user attributes, and developing comprehensive user operation and business strategies. The leader will also collaborate cross-functionally to meet project objectives and engage directly with Japanese players to propose effective localization and optimization strategies for the market.
Good To Have:
  • Over 3 years of game release and operation experience in Japan, capable of cross-departmental coordination.
  • Experience in driving game projects from planning to release and operation, understanding Japanese publishing processes.
  • Experience operating games like Uma Musume, Puzzle & Dragons, Monster Strike.
Must Have:
  • Excellent verbalization skills and business communication ability in Japanese for the Japanese market.
  • Practical experience in the Japanese game industry.
  • Possesses team management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate goals for new product entry, continuation, activity, word-of-mouth, and revenue in Japan, subdivide these goals, support team members in execution, and follow up.
  • Analyze user needs for games based on user data, community behavior, and market research, track changes in user attributes and behavior, and formulate user operation plans, operation strategies, and business strategies in conjunction with market changes.
  • Collaborate with different departments to achieve project goals.
  • Regularly communicate with Japanese players online and offline, and propose effective optimization and localization for the Japanese market.

Requirements (MUST)

  • Excellent verbalization skills and ability to conduct business communication in Japanese to respond to the Japanese market.
  • Practical experience in the Japanese game industry.
  • Possesses team management skills.

Desirable (WANT)

  • More than 3 years of game release and operation experience in Japan, capable of performing coordination and management tasks across various departments.
  • Experience in promoting game projects from planning to release and operation, and understanding of publishing and operation processes in Japan.
  • Experience in operating Uma Musume, Puzzle & Dragons, Monster Strike.
