Finance Lead

We are looking for a proactive and solutions-oriented Finance Lead to join our team. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong people skills, capable of translating financial data into actionable insights that support decision-making and streamline processes across the business. The Finance Lead will work closely with the production team and department heads to align financial goals with company strategy and help deliver a profitable AAA game.

Must Have

• Drive annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Deliver timely and accurate financial reports and insights.
• Identify and implement opportunities for cost optimization and improved financial efficiency.
• Act as a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams.
• Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Partner with production and operational teams to align financial goals.
• Oversee month-end close, KPI reporting, and variance analysis.
• Prepare and deliver government subsidy reports and ensure compliance.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
• Lead and mentor finance team members.
• Foster a collaborative finance function that supports the wider organization.
• Encourage a continuous improvement mindset.
• Ensure financial operations comply with local regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.

Reporting

The Finance Lead will report to the Head of Operations and work closely with the production team.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Drive annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes in collaboration with department leads.
• Deliver timely and accurate financial reports and insights to inform business strategy and operational decisions.
• Identify and implement opportunities for cost optimization, and improved financial efficiency
• Act as a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams.
• Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Partner with production and operational teams to align financial goals with company strategy.
• Oversee month-end close, KPI reporting, and variance analysis.
• Prepare and deliver government subsidy reports and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as needed.
• Lead and mentor finance team members.

• Encourage a continuous improvement mindset, using feedback and financial analysis to enhance systems and workflows.
• Ensure financial operations comply with local regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors in Commerce or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of relevant finance experience, ideally in the service or gaming industry.
• Strong analytical skills and fluency in financial modeling and data analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable working with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
• High proficiency in Excel, experience with financial systems such as SAP or similar platforms is preferred.
• Avid gamer and strong interest in the gaming industry.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Tableau Software.
• Experience working on Live Service games.
