Job Summary
As a Financial Analyst 1 in Change Management at American Express, you will be responsible for executing project deliverables and collaborating with various teams to ensure project requirements are met. Must Have
- Execute clear project deliverables (FDIC, Fast Forward etc.).
- Collaborate across multiple teams for project implementation and cross-workstream communication.
- Assess change impacts and build structured plans for organizational change activities.
- Utilize Program/Project management tools and standards.
- Develop and maintain documentation practice for the project management team.
- Proactively anticipate and raise project risks, ensuring adequate escalation and mitigation.
- Build strong relationships and influence business partners to drive transformational change.
- Independently handle customer/stakeholder queries and escalations.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Program/Project Management.
Good to Have
- Understanding of Scaled Agile (SAFe) principles.
- Experience effectively managing a backlog of competing initiatives.
- Product Ownership experience.

How will you make an impact in this role?
The successful candidate will execute clear project deliverables (FDIC, Fast Forward etc.) and collaborate across multiple teams to ensure that project requirements are met. This role is pivotal to the successful implementation and execution of the FDIC program. Additionally, the candidate will ensure seamless integration across frontline, mid-office, and back-office processes and service delivery.
Role Responsibilities
- Partner closely with multiple teams to execute flawless project implementation and cross-workstream communication, including but not limited to GTC /GTO teams, Technology & Capabilities, MIS & Reporting, Compliance, Control Management etc.
- Assess change impacts and readiness to build structured plans and apply sound methodologies to integrate appropriate organizational change activities into project plans.
- Utilize Program/Project management tools and standards to manage initiatives through all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain documentation practice for the project management team in accordance to regulatory standards for communications, project plans, status reports, risk assessments, business requirements, implementation reviews and project presentations.
- Proactively anticipate and raise project risks and ensuring adequate escalation and mitigation is put in place to safeguard delivery.
- Ability to build strong relationships, operate effectively within large cross-functional teams, and influence business partners to drive transformational change
- Independently handles customers/stakeholders for any queries/escalations
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Program/Project Management with a solid understanding of fast-paced capability setup and data integration, ingestion and migration.
- Experienced in meeting tight timelines, effectively managing multiple priorities and working across multiple time zones displaying superior personal accountability, including resilience and commitment.
- Excellent relationship management skills with proven ability to collaborate, influence and negotiate with colleagues and business partners to deliver desired outcomes without direct authority.
- Ability to collaborate, network and develop strong working relationships across the organization.
- Understanding of Scaled Agile (SAFe) principles and experience effectively managing a backlog of competing initiatives [preferred]
- Product Ownership experience [preferred]
