PwC is seeking a Financial Reporting and Tax Compliance Senior Manager for its Core Reporting group. This role involves advising clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy, as well as assisting with tax provisions, returns, and financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. The successful candidate will support team development, identify market opportunities, drive efficiencies, and foster an inclusive environment while upholding the firm's ethics.

These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions. In tax accounting services at PwC, you will assist businesses in preparing and reviewing tax provisions, tax returns, and financial statements, confirming compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.

As a Financial Reporting and Tax Compliance, Senior Manager in our Core Reporting group, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities level include but are not limited to:

Experience and skills you’ll use to solve

  • Completion of Levels I, II and III of the CPA In-depth Tax Course would be an asset but not necessary
  • Experience in a public accountant firm
  • Canadian CPA designation
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of Accounting Standards for Private Entities (ASPE), CSRS 4200 Compilation engagements, CSRE 2400 Review engagements, Canadian Audit Standards
  • Strong communication, and facilitator skills with demonstrated ability to work with multiple personalities
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, listening and coaching skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple assignments in an organized manner
  • Strong analytical capability, sound business sense and creative mind that have earned you a reputation of providing excellence in client service
  • The successful candidate requires fluency in English, in addition to French as they will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during the course of their employment with PwC Canada
